Riding a modern full suspension bike with 175mm crank arms and a low bottom bracket in rocky, rooty, nasty New England means pedal strikes are inevitable. I am guilty of wanting my bike to continue to look nice for as long as possible so these crank boots are a necessity. Cheap insurance and a spot of color.
I mounted these on SRAM NX Eagle cranks and the fit was loose, nothing that couldn’t be rectified with painters tape used to bulk up the arm end prior to slipping the boots on. Miles later and all is well.
Yes, I know these are RaceFace boots on SRAM cranks but I have the same ones (in blue) on a set of GX Eagle cranks and the fit was perfectly snug.

Two different oranges sent! How do you even manage that? And I would ask for a replacement but it won’t allow me to request an invoice to contact anyone about a replacement, had to wait a month for these faulty ones and can’t afford to wait another month as its destroying my carbon cranks.

Race Face boots are better than other companies. Weird thing was that these boots were too big for my cranks. I still use them but they may not fit all sizes. They are solid and seem to last longer than the ones that are more rubber like. These are hard plastic. I like the color!
