Average size webcam that can attach to a tripod, on top of your screen, or on the desk with perfect stability.

It’s simple appearance can be a little discerning, however you shouldn’t be fooled. This little webcam boasts high quality and versatility.

The video quality is clear with good frames per second so that it doesn’t seem like doing a facetime or zoom whatsoever.

You can easily adjust the different settings if needed using the Razer app.

I expected the light to throw off a bit more light than it does. It definitely improves the lighting situation, but you’ll need other lighting sources for the full benefits of this camera. The integrated mic and overall quality is great. The fact that it works standalone with the stand and clips onto the computer is also great – it’s a really novel and effective design. I would highly recommend this camera for people who are on zoom meetings all day, like I am. The webcam comes with a bunch of software which is really unnecessary for people who just need a webcam to get a basic job done – I’ve ultimately uninstalled all of the Razer Synapse add-ons.

This is a really versatile camera, with brilliant quality, easy to use and I have been able to travel with it and use it for regular video call meetings wherever I am. Unfortunately, 16 months on, the product has started failing. I will be contacting the company to see if I can be sent another, as it’s relatively new.

I recently purchased the Razer Kiyo Streaming Webcam, and I must say that it has exceeded my expectations in terms of its performance and features. Whether I’m using it for video conferencing, streaming, or recording videos, this webcam delivers excellent quality and functionality.

The video quality of the Razer Kiyo is outstanding. It supports full HD 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second, ensuring sharp and detailed visuals. The camera captures vibrant colors and maintains good clarity, even in low-light conditions. The autofocus feature works seamlessly, ensuring that I always stay in focus during my video calls or streams.

One of the standout features of the Kiyo is its built-in ring light. This ring light provides adjustable brightness levels, allowing me to customize the lighting according to my preference. It eliminates shadows and ensures that I’m well-lit, resulting in a professional and polished appearance. The ring light is a game-changer, especially for those who frequently participate in video conferences or live streaming.

The Razer Kiyo also comes with a built-in microphone, which delivers clear and crisp audio. While it may not match the quality of dedicated external microphones, it is more than sufficient for everyday use. The convenience of having an integrated microphone saves me from having to set up additional audio equipment, making the Kiyo a practical choice.

Setting up the webcam is a breeze. It connects easily via USB and is compatible with a wide range of video conferencing and streaming platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Skype. The software provided by Razer allows for further customization, including adjusting video settings, configuring the ring light, and enabling additional features.

The build quality of the Razer Kiyo is solid. It feels sturdy and well-made, giving me confidence in its durability. The flexible mount allows for easy positioning and adjustment, ensuring that I can find the perfect angle for my recordings or calls. The compact and sleek design adds to its overall appeal.

Overall, I highly recommend the Razer Kiyo Streaming Webcam to anyone in need of a high-quality and versatile camera for video conferencing, streaming, or content creation. Its exceptional video quality, adjustable ring light, and convenient built-in microphone make it a top choice for professionals and enthusiasts alike. With the Razer Kiyo, you can elevate the quality of your video calls and streams, and enjoy a seamless and immersive experience.

I love this webcam!!! The quality is great and the light is an added bonus. It has never malfunctioned on me or stopped working. It works the exact same as it did when I bought it in 2020. I always have a cloth nearby to clean the lens periodically. I recommend this webcam to all of my coworkers.

The first time using it and it suddenly starts acting erratically. During a ZOOM meeting, it suddenly inverted my image and showed a blurred image of my laptop screen upside down to all participants in the meeting There was no way to reset or fix it. I tried downloading Synapse from Razer’s website and I promise it is the crappiest user experience ever. It keeps giving me an invalid_request error message but it is not telling me what to fix or where I made an error in setting up an account. THIS IS POOR UX DESIGN. Right now, the camera is supposed to be turned off, but it is still on. The light is lit and I keep hearing the sound you hear when you take a picture. I have restarted and unplugged my laptop and the camera and
it might come on fir about 5 seconds, make that picture taking sound, then crash. Windows gives me a camera not attached message. Windows is up to date. I’m not sure if it is beyond the date to return this camera, but if razer folks don’t reach out, I am returning this tomorrow.

This is an apparently well-built camera that produces a very nice picture, is nicely weighted and configured to sit on top of my external monitor as it comes, or sit on a tripod or other mount with a tripod-size screw.

Unfortunately, if you’re on a Mac, you’ll be using it in UVC mode only (kind of a least-common-denominator compatibility mode) and there’s no software from Razer that allows you to control the camera, nor update its firmware when required. You’ll need to find a PC for firmware updates.

The camera works well and autofocuses just fine when plugged into a USB 3 port on my OWC Thunderbolt (2) dock, but focus goes to the close-focus end of the lens and refuses to budge when plugged into my powered USB 2 hub. Everything else on the hub works great, so no idea what the problem is here.

There’s no manual external focus adjustment: the ring around the camera adjusts the brightness of the built-in ringlight, which is far too bright for most situations in my office, but might be good for shooting in a brightly-lit room – throwing a bit of extra light on my face (doing so in a dark scene would make my face overbright, and plunge the rest of the room into darkness).

Camera doesn’t include a privacy cover, which you’d think would be a must on any camera sold today. No lens cap, no hard on/off switch, nothing.

Tried to get some camera control in OBS brodcasting software, but (i’m guessing at the reason here…) the UVC operation of the camera on Mac OS meant I had very limited control of it.

It’s OK. A Logitech might’ve been a better investment of my money, since there’d be Mac software for it.

UPDATE: Also, the Kiyo only outputs 16kHz mono samples – this apparently means my doctor’s webconferencing software won’t use the microphone, I suppose because it expects 44.1kHz (CD sampling rate) or something. Can’t adjust or select another rate with the system software.
