I switched all of my reptile fixtures to these because I love how short they are. No need to worry about the space between the dome and the rack the enclosure sits on in regards to not fitting. This 8.5 size is also perfect for my enclosure size. I will definitely continue to purchase these for my future enclosures!

This works really well and looks nice also. I can not rate the temperature control because there is no thermostat or dial, it is controlled by how far away you hang the lamp. I had been using a 100 watt fixture and heat emitter but it seemed inadequate so I got this one for a 150 watt emitter. It’s exactly what I needed. I can keep part of Pebbles’ habitat at 90 and it stays warm even at night. And of course, he has the option to move off into a 70 degree area if he wants to. Very pleased with this purchase!
