This uvb bulb is perfect with my lamp fixture and I’ve already noticed my gecko coming out more during day time and basking under the lamp.

I’ve used a lot of reptizoo products over the years. I’ve got one of their large lights over my 55gal terrarium, small sunning lights on my other terrariums and one over the sunning dock on my turtle enclosure. I’ve honestly never had an issue with their products, and this bulb is no exception. I especially like how well built it is, as typically UVB bulbs are rather fragile (and expensive) and breaking them puts you out a good bit of money. It puts out a good amount of light. Best for small terrariums like a 5gal upright or something of that nature. Certainly not a light you’d want to use on a 30gal+ size tank, get a brighter one for those. Fits my needs perfectly and I’m certainly a happy Repti Zoo customer!

Good material and metal makes it seem durable. The light didn’t seem all that bright, not expecting a lot for a 3W bulb but it still seemed very dim.

We have two snakes and two bearded dragons, so we are always replacing our bulbs. This compact bulb was curious as we typically gravitate toward larger mercury vapor bulbs. So far we have seen a great consistent UVB output, but the bulb does not seem to put out any heat. A heat bulb or heat mats are still required to meet our minimum tank specifications.
If you have a pet that does not need heat, or are looking for a smaller size fixture, this would be an excellent fit for you, especially considering the price. We, however, will only be able to keep this on hand as a spare or summer (when our ambient heat is adequate).

I wasn’t sure if these new UVB lights would make a difference, but my gecko seems much more active since I switched. He basks for longer stretches now, and even explores the cooler parts of his tank more. Overall, I’m really happy with the switch and would recommend this bulb to other reptile owners.

Added this light to my red earred slider’s basking platform with the heat lamp. Working great so far the light is well put together and I don’t have to worry about splashes causing this to shatter. I don’t have a digital meter so I’m unable to confirm the UVB rating but my test card shows it is providing adequate lighting.

Super bright and provides a lot of UVB. It also doesn’t use a lot of power which is nice compared to standard bulbs. Hopefully it lasts a lot longer than start UVB bulbs as they need to start loosing their benefit pretty quickly when used for long periods.
