Josh –
I’ve been playing this mouthpiece for a few months and I gotta say, it’s pretty damn good. The tone quality is surprisingly good for a mouthpiece at this price and is generally responsive across the whole of the instrument. I have one problem with it though: it’s rough intonation in the upper register. It tends to be a bit sharp after Bb but you can work that out through practice. Mine came with a slightly crooked table but that might just be a defect on my piece. Overall, it’s a good mouthpiece for the price and would serve a student more than well for the entirety of high school. (I also found that it worked well with Java red reeds)
Amazoner –
Bought it based on other reviews and really how far could you go wrong for this price. Replacing a cheap US Selmer MP. Here’s what I really like, it has a middle or the road response. That may sound like a negative but what it really means it that it is somewhere between my Berg Larsen metal MP and my Selmer S80 C*. The Berg is bright and bold and the Selmer is smooth and creamy. The Graftonite C7 can play edgy or smooth depending on how much you push it. So if you knew you were going to play smooth jazz or classical you may choose the Selmer. If you knew you were going to rock out you might pick the Berg but the Rico Graftonite can do both. Throw in the price of $20 or so bucks vs. $150+ and it’s pretty impressive. Wish I had one of these in my school days but didn’t know any better.
Cruddy Puppy –
Idea was to have separate reed/mouthpiece setups ready to go for different playing comparisons. Still haven’t found decent ligature yet for less than cost of mouthpiece. Careful with offers for alto instead of tenor; not sure if they are interchangeable. Amazon isn’t sure.

Excelente boquilla. Buena relación precio producto
Tim Bardell –
I bought this mouthpiece and several others to explore different chamber and tip opening sizes. This A5 large chamber, 0.095″ opening D’Addario sounds almost as good as an Otto Link Tone Edge 6* for 1/5 the price.
Amazon Customer –
Purchased for my son. He used this brand before and really likes the sound quality.
Ilana Binenbaum –
I am comming from Yamaha 5C model, which is a nice, but very basic beginner mouthpiece. Graftonite A7 has been an absolute surprise for me. For the price, it offers a considerable upgrade. A fuller and darker sound. It can handle much more air, without choking or becoming squeaky.
What an amazing find for the price!
M. Francis –
This is a good mouthpiece, especially for the price. It didn’t have quite the sound that I was looking for, the C7 would probably be a little better, as far as an edgy sound. This seemed like a good mouthpiece for a concert band setting. So far, the mouthpiece I enjoy the most is the Metalite M9. A lot of body and the right edge for jazz solo work.
Wayne –
Worked perfect, returned item as I got rid of the instrument
David Villarreal –
I just got it and on my sax within 3 minutes. The sound it puts out for me is fat, full and rich. I love this sound. It changed everything about my sound. I LOVE the sound I’m putting out. It’s exactly the sound I was hoping for.
Robert A. Okony –
This is the best mouthpiece out of the Graftonite series for me. Easier to blow with a number 2 synthetic reed. This mouthpiece has improved my tone over the range of the horn. It has allowed me to make some progress on altissimo notes.
Cliente Amazon –
Sonido con mucho cuerpo. Oscura y potente. Sorprendente para el precio que tiene.
