My dogs somewhat like this! They turn their nose up at most kibble but they will eat this !Try it and see if your dog likes it ? Sometimes I sprinkle treats on it to make it more appealing if too bland for my spoiled table scraps fed pups . They seem to like the flavor when they were younger when I bought this in the puppy version. This may be because I didn’t give them table scraps back then. Give it a go ?

I have tried a variety of different foods for my picky pup, nothing has worked until I got this dog food. NOTE: I rescued this pup w/the option to adopt after rehab at a few months old, weighing a couple of pounds, straight from surgery for a fractured leg after being stepped on by the original owner & surrendered back to the breeder for surgery. I was told me this pup would only eat if he was hand feed. I knew after I had this pup for about 3 minutes that I would be adopting him no matter how the rehab turned out. I ordered & got the smallest bag of this food 2 days ago, even though I thought it was a little pricey for my budget. He ate his 1/4c twice yesterday “from his bowl” & already ate all his breakfast today w/nothing added “from his bowl”! No broth, toppers, cheese, yogurt, canned dog food, shredded chicken, peanut butter or any of the other things I have tried including hand feeding. Finally a good quality dog food my picky eater will eat from a dog 🥣 bowl, dry. I am beyond delighted & will let you know if this continues. If so, “Royal Canin for small indoor dogs” is definitely worth the cost. Particularly since I have already given away many $$$’s of other cans & bags of dog food over the past few years! So of course, I did adopt this adorable fragile pup. I’m not sure exactly who rescued who in this situation, pretty sure I’m the lucky one!

I have a 13 year old maltese, about 9 pounds. As she got older, she became a lot more pickier in what she ate. Many of her old dog food brands, she no longer would eat. We found out about the Royal Canin dog food when she visited a friends house and she would try and eat all of our friends dogs food haha.. Needless to say, we purchased a bag ourselves and she absolutely loves it. Glad we could find a dog food she enjoys

While the Royal Canin brand is always more expensive than others, it’s justified by the quality.
Numerous vet friends of mine constantly complain about how people don’t realize the terrible food they’re feeding their dogs. They sent me a couple studies that analysed the connect of mainstream dog foods and a lot of them are filled with cardboard or other no digestible fibres that technically aren’t considered toxic. I know that’s driven a lot of the “grain free” foods, but it turns out that’s almost as bad. Dogs need more than just protein. It’s really hard on their kidneys if you feed them a grain free diet or a protein only diet. I’m fact there are pretty much only two brands vets will recommend: Science Diet and Royal Canin.
The bag this comes in is smaller than usual for the price point rather than the cost being extra high for the same size as competitors. It is a sturdy plasticy bag and the top has a resealable ziplock seal. The pieces are small enough for a very small Chihuahua to eat comfortably. It has a standard dog food oder, but nothing unusual. It arrives fresh, and if kept sealed in an air tight container when not in use, it will remain so for a couple months.

This is the only product I’ve ever used the Amazon Subscription feature for and the last 2 monthly deliveries of 2 bags each have an been consistent in their freshness. Quantity-wise, my healthy but always sleeping 9.5 lb 5 year old Chihuahua eats around 2 bags a month, as a free eater who gets half a tray of weight food added on top on the weekends. I bought a couple bags prior to my subscription to make sure he liked it, and I keep all the food in a white plastic tub that seals.

These puppers- Maltese & Multipoo have been on Royal Canin beauty formula canned food and the same brand indoor kibble all of their lives. Rarely any tummy issues – but for when they find random, super icky things on walks. They are fast and extremely sneaky.
Their fur is glossy and overall they are healthy and snuggle bunnies. It’s done great for them.
Random treats aside and the occasional drop of krill oil, a drizzle of olive, pumpkin seed oil, etc. really adds a gloss and lots of volume to their coats and makes their eyes, skin & paws less dry. Good for the skin and coat.
Our groomer has noticed a big difference in the sheen of their coats and overall health with the twice weekly addition of the extra nutrition and it’s also good for aging pups internal organs. Wild pups would get these fats from nature from animal fats, but we make do to be on the safe side. They love this food best.
