Rukket Sports 4x7ft Lacrosse Rebounder Pitchback Screen

After reading reviews, I settled on this rebounder for our son. Although the shipping box end was slightly opened, everything was intact, nothing was missing, and nothing was scratched. Assembly of the frame was simple enough, and installing the netting was straightforward. Although the frame can be assembled by one person, having an extra set of hands when stretching and hooking the netting is immensely helpful. The frame is well built, no plastic parts and solidly bolts together. You can tell someone was thinking when figuring out how to break the frame into pieces for shipping. Our son is already enjoying the rebounder, and after trying it myself it works great. The flexibility in angling the frame or raising/lowering the leg will let you adjust it to rebound in the air ground. With the default set of bungie hooks installed the netting is springy enough for now, but they do include many more if you need or want to increase the net tension.

If I were to criticize anything, I think the assembly instructions could be made a very tiny bit clearer. The text descriptions are pretty good, and they include drawings, but I think a few pictures may make the instructions clearer for those assembling a rebounder for the first time. After completing assembly, it all made sense but I did have a few questions as I worked through a couple steps.

While generally critical of modern design and manufacturing, I have absolutely nothing critical to say about this rebounder.

Clearly the engineering and design team cut no corners while designing this! Every part of the rebounder, from the quality of the elastic bands used for fastening the mesh & netting to the tubular steel, the netting itself, down to the attention to detail paid to the capped fastening nuts used for holding the frame together… is high quality.

I’ve included a few close up pictures of the tubular frame powder coating. The frame had a few tiny scratches from shipping – but is not something I expect would be normal, given the attention to detail in the packing process. These scratches actually provided a good look into the thickness of the coating itself. Which I only chose to share to provide others insight into the quality of the build.

The warning labels were clear and concise and properly located to be of perfect height for children of reading age+ to be able to see and comprehend.

This has already proven a spectacular investment for our multiple children in lacrosse, baseball, and soccer+

I would absolutely recommend this rebounder to any serious buyer, who is looking for a long term investment into their or their child’s ability to extend practice beyond the traditional practice fields!

I bought this for my 9yo son who is obsessed with baseball and wishes I could be out playing catch with him in the yard 8 hours a day. I’ve played around with other pitchbacks as a kid myself and they’ve all been essentially disposable contraptions: Good for a season. Maybe two. Then they start to fall apart.

This Rukket model is just a different breed. The design is fantastic: You get a huge playing surface with a giant sweet-spot–meaning that it kicks balls back to you at high velocity even if you don’t hit it dead-center. The angle adjustment allows you to concentrate on either grounders or fly balls. (And the adjustment mechanism is easy enough that my kid can do it himself.) And the inclusion of an edge guard means that balls mis-thrown to the edges don’t slip past the bungies and out behind the pitchback.

Then there’s the build quality: This thing is solid. *Really* solid. All the parts are heavy duty. The frame is substantial. And the machining is precision: All of the holes line up, all of the bolts slide in easily.

An incredibly impressive product, from conception to execution. The price point is higher than the average pitchback, but in my view the quality is so high that the Rukket makes for a much better value.
