This is my first drum pedal so I don’t have a whole lot to compare it to. It seems well made. It came with a small wrench key for adjustments. The white thumper was covered in plastic. The only issue is one of the arms on the bottom of the pedal wasn’t bent properfly for a perfect fit. This is one of two arms that connect the bottom of the pedal to the frame. But the tip of it still fit inside the hole. Good enough. Seems stable. I use this with an old electronic Roland set that requires an actual pedal to trgger the sensor for the bass drum. Good product. Good value for the price listed.

This is a nice quality pedal with fluid motion at a very good price. It is easy to setup despite no instructions. Feels strong and definitely great for home use but not for road performances but still can be used as a backup if needed. You definitely will get a lot of mileage out of this pedal so it is a great deal!

I’ve been trying to figure out how best to use this. Originally, I picked this up as a practice pedal, which is really all it’s going to be good for and that’s with tweaking. It’s incredibly light and does not respond like it should. A pedal should glide and there should be a smooth return. This doesn’t do that. It grinds around the chain and it’s audible. Not only that, but that pin on the bottom on where you’d attach it to the bass, that pin is too tall and hits into the pedal. It’s about the size of a side screw and not one that you’d put on the top. They usually are half that length.
Also, the metal bars that attach the pedal properly doesn’t line up evenly and it does throw off the balance. And, when you play it, there are no grips or spurs to keep it from moving at all.
I’m not thrilled with the performance. Just to get it running as a practice pedal, I’ve already put in five hours just to get the bar even. As drummers, we’re used to tweaking things but you’re far better off picking up one that’s better than this. The weight is off, not great quality and I wouldn’t recommend. Not a great value.

I order items for review that I can use in my music teaching.
TLDR: If you’re putting together a set of used drums for a beginner/hobbyist that needs a pedal, this may be a good fit. If you’re doing regular drum gigs, spend more. The rating is based on similar low end pieces of drum tech, NOT drum pedals as a whole.
I ordered this drum pedal to use with a cajon drum for my elementary students, who love feeling like they’re playing a “drum set”.. I’ve shown it in the videos with a travel Cajon, which is a little small and wobbly, since that’s what I have at home right now, but I think it will work well with a bass cajon or a small bass drum and be a good teaching tool for my students.
The first thing I noticed was that it came unassembled with no instructions on how to assemble or adjust, and did not come with a drum key. Both are not issues if you have experience assembling drum kits (since every kit and most single drums come with a key), and there are tutorials online for this purpose if you haven’t adjusted pedals before, but it is absolutely NOT ready to play right out of the box.
This Pedal is at the extreme low end of the price range for drum pedals. It is a single chain pedal, so isn’t as responsive as a double chain pedal would be, and will be more difficult to use for playing quickly than a more expensive pedal.
Once I assembled it and adjusted it, it moved smoothly. The chain feed mechanism works well. There is a bracket for attaching to the rim of a bass drum, but do note that it is bare metal, so you may want to add a pad to avoid digging into the rim of your bass. There is also no padding on the bottom of the pedal to prevent scratching.
The beater has a felt head. This is appropriate for home practice or for lighter music, but may not be the best choice if you’re playing heavier tracks that want a stronger drum rhythm, nor is it a dual side beater. For my purposes, it will work well.

This works well and has a nice sound.

This is a great kick pedal. It did not come with instructions but it was fairly intuitive to set up. It comes with an adjustment key as well. I’m using it with my cajon set up.
