I use thumb drives for my car’s music playlists. I don’t use anywhere near the 32GB capacity … usually limit a playlist to 5GB … but the drives load the music quickly and they work in the environment of the car … which can be a bit harsh … hot and cold extremes. The containers they come in are convenient for storing when not used in the car (I only have one it the car at a time). Helps keep them organized.

I bought a few of those inexpensive, high capacity USB drives and had nothing but headaches. Whenever I buy a USB drive I run a program against it called Validrive. It validates that the drive is as big as the claimed size (in GB) and that it doesn’t have read/write errors. All of the cheap drives have tons of errors and bad sectors. They are also quite slow. I recently ran it against a cheap 64gb drive and it took over an hour! This SanDisk drive only took 7 seconds and it was perfect! Not a single read/write error or bad sector. I definitely recommend these drives.
I am done with cheap USB drives. Only quality drives for me from now on.

512 GB is a ton of storage, so this flash drive will get a lot of use from me. I primarily am using this to store copies of personal files and it works great for that, the copying speed is good. My only real problem with this is that the lever you push to push the USB port up and down feels rather wonky to me, it takes some resistance to do. It can also be a bit of a tight fit in some ports; it fit perfectly fine in my computer, but when I put it in my PS5 it felt like I was jamming it in there (it does still fit and work as intended though). Worth noting that this flash drive comes with some files already on it, that being instructions on how to install some sort of SanDisk software, but you can just delete those and still use it with no problems.
