I use this solution as I wear a scleral lens for my Keratoconus that I was diagnosed with. Iโve been using this for about 2 months.
I started doing research on what to use when I was filling the lens with the saline solution vials. I work 7-3 and noticed around 12/1 oโclock in the afternoon that when I was reading on the laptop or typing, the words were blurry. I used eye drops and that didnโt help. Following research, it seems that thereโs more issues using the saline solution vials for insertion is not lubricating enough for the eye and need something with more viscosity to ensure comfortable wear. Once I started using this product, the blurriness went down dramatically and the solutions viscosity is more than just sterile saline. I donโt get any fogging (I think it also depends how you take care of your lens and how you clean them) and I notice my lens and eye are more comfortable with this solution.
People say the bottle is too big. By the time I am done, I have cleaned out the special container basket holder for the clear care receptacle (I rinse this after I pour out the clear care solution). I then have enough to fill my lens 1-2 times (most of the time once is only needed at least 90%) and then I use the leftovers to rinse the tools (insertion plunger and the removal plunger). I also use this as an eye drop after I put my lens in. I do this twice and I use the entire vial. Itโs so convenient to have all this saline solution. I think the 3ml is too small. The 5ml is better but I still prefer the 10ml. This stuff is the best!

Thought the solution is fine no problems. It doesnโt irritate or bother my eyes. Besides using in the scleral lens, a drop or two helps wash out any debris in the eye after lenses are in, so good there.
My problem is the cap design. It would be nice if once the cap twisted off, it could fit over the bottle top for storage. (Individual Refresh drops have that feature) A bit annoying dealing with a bottle of liquid without a cap.

These are convenient for travel. No waste.

I just started wearing scleral contact lenses about 2 months ago and this solution is great for the contacts and my eyes. It keeps my eyes from getting dry or irritated and keeps the contacts moisturized all day. Easy to open and use, all while being preservative free. Highly recommend!

In true buy it again Prime fashion this product has increased 33% in cost over the last purchase. Can still get it at the same retail from others though. They also charge sales tax that is not collected on these products by my state. Such a disappointment on a needed medical product. That said this is an incredible preservative free saline, hence the 5 stars. But I will go back to my other vendor when needed and get it at MSRP.

I’ve been in sclerals for several years and I wish I had used this sooner! I’ve been content with Addipak but has no idea how much better this stuff is! Longer, more comfortable wear is worth it – even if it is pricey!

Since I wear contact lenses frequently, it’s critical to locate a saline solution that meets all of my demands. In terms of my eye care regimen, this preservative-free saline solution has been remarkable. Its adaptability is astounding; it can easily accommodate rigid, soft, and scleral gas permeable lenses. The pH balance is guaranteed by the buffered formula, which is essential for long-lasting comfort all day.
However, the single-use vials, while convenient for travel, pose limitations for everyday use. With each vial containing only 10ml, frequent lens wearers may find themselves depleting their supply quickly. This aspect raises the question of long-term cost efficiency, especially for those on a budget. Exploring alternatives with larger volumes might provide a more economical solution over time.
Still, the packaging is easy to use. Even when traveling, the solution is easily accessible thanks to the twist-off lids, which also reduce the chance of spills. The individual vials preserve freshness and hygiene with every use, even with volume restrictions, making the process easier.
Environmental considerations also come into play, as the disposable nature of the single-use vials contributes to increased waste generation. As a consumer conscious of sustainability, I can’t help but contemplate the environmental impact of this packaging choice. Refillable, larger bottles could offer a more eco-friendly alternative without compromising convenience.
In conclusion, it has significantly improved my contact lens experience, offering versatility and convenience. While there are considerations regarding volume limitations and environmental impact, its effectiveness in maintaining eye comfort and hygiene remains undeniable.
