Well….it’s played very out of tune in the orchestra. They are running, no tempo stability…
But it’s usefull for a first stadium of study…..surely not to perform with….

This is good and can work for a public performance. But some of the tempos and tempo changes are quite unconventional. They donโ€™t make any musical sense to me and can really throw you off. Tempo changes sometimes occur rather unexpectedly. You have to make sure you practice these idiosyncrasies if youโ€™re going to play with this.

The tempo of the middle section of the second movement is, for example, at an unusually break-neck pace. I have never heard this section played so fast. The triplet 16th notes are played like they were some kind of Paganini caprice or something. It seems that in the ascending octave scales the tempo picks up unexpectedly as well after the first set, making it a very awkward tempo change that can crash and burn you if you donโ€™t practice it.

For something like this, it would be nice if they had not taken so many liberties with tempo changes, and stuck instead with a more rigid and standard tempo.
