  1. this game is fun for a 12 years old i love this game and i hop you like it to?

We live in Florida and after the winter we had a tun of dead grass, one spray did help the established grass become healthy enought to help establish new grass. I am purchasing this product again soon to do a followup spray to continue to help our yard throughout the summer heat.

I sprayed this on my 4000 sq ft back yard with Empire Zoysia grass. Easy to spray and really turned my grass green! Some are complaining about a fishy smell but I did not notice any odors in my yard. If you get on your hands, it had a slight odor but soap and water took it right off. No problem with sprayer either but I made sure everything was tight. Green has lasted 5 weeks so far! Will buy again!

Have used this for a couple of seasons and it works great. In early spring I spray some liquid Scott’s Weed and Feed then several weeks later spray this and repeat monthly. Outstanding results. A lot of reviews I read think that you should spray this once a year and call it good. Those people either don’t or can’t read the label. I’m guessing their democrats waiting for a government program to take care of their lawn.

I purchased the 16-4-8 product as I had a long neglected lawn – kids, job, life all got in the way and while I’d start off each spring with the best of intentions, by late-June I was just coasting by. This year I took an honest assessment of my lawn and the inherent deficiencies. Bare spots, moss and weeds were more common than the mix of grass that was growing due to occasional overseeding as I attempted to fix what couldn’t be fixed. After a soil test I found that the pH was low and that the lawn needed most any nutrient I could apply, particularly Phosphorus. I started in spring with some competitors granulated fertilizer with weed killer and lime, but as June rolled around I was already going down the same path of neglect. So I decided that I’d stick with it if I could do something easier that would actually take into account the soil test results. While initially I looked for granular products to spread I selected the 16-4-8 due to the ease of application, the reviews, and the fact I didn’t have to go to my local big box home store to stare at 30 different products. Because even if I pick a product that is half the cost of this I’ll end up spending money on something else that I really don’t need. So I might as well save some gas, some time, and overall aggravation and shop on Amazon. Reviews were positive, so I figured why not.

I applied the product on a Sunday evening as my kids would be in school all week and not playing on the lawn. The results weren’t immediate but despite the lingering drought in the northeast as well as the current heat wave the grass has greened up and it seems that the bare spots are starting the shrink. I’m pretty happy with the results, and will get other products from the company in the future. There is a definite improvement in the lawn; I’ll be honest I still have a long way to go but my lawn was pretty sad to start with! That was nearly a month ago and I’m looking forward to seeing how well the grass improves as I stick with it (despite the pleadings of my wife and my physician, this is easier than going to the gym so I think the odds are better).

If there is one aspect I would suggest for improvement it would be a better explanation of the non-NPK products, including why I should pick one (or any) over just a normal fertilizer application. Or even better, sell me a box every spring with every product I need for the next six months with a sheet telling me when to apply it! I’d buy that every spring!

Thanks for making a great product that is easy to use and effective!
    =======================
Ok. So I didn’t stick with it as well as I should have.
After my early June application I started slacking off again. Kids, travel for work, the on-going drought. Around late November I took a look around, tossed down some lime and big box store winter fertilizer (granular) and some lime and reminded myself how much I liked this product. And prepared for a dismal winter in New England and thought about the summer to come.

First off, another soil test. pH was low (5.5), and Nitrogen (N) and Phosphorus (P) was both deficient – pretty evident since I was already getting violets pushing through despite the lime last fall and the winter fertilizer. At least the Potash in the winter fertilizer came through.

First – 45 pounds of calcitic lime on 3000 square feet of lawn.

Second – where is that 16-4-8 Simple Lawn Solutions bottle? I remembered keeping it so I could order the gallon bottle if I liked it (I never did order it). Found it, in the garage. Right where I put it. Grabbed my phone and saw there was a coupon for a gallon – at 2.5 times the price of the 32oz it seems like the right option so I hit buy. Shows up. Waited three days for it to stop raining and just put it down tonight. Confirmed I was able to reuse the old bottle, meaning if you’re using multiple bottles of this stuff order big. I figure I’ll lay down at least two more applications of this stuff before I switch to the same company’s winter stuff (depending on the results of a fall soil test). I’m not going to beat that price at my big box store.

Third – ordered another Simple Lawn Solutions product that is 6-19-0 with root hume (Extreme Grass Growth Lawn Booster). I figure that will set me down the path for a non-deficient soil chemistry. I hope.

    Update, December 10, 2019
I spent the entire spring, summer, and fall with Simple Lawn Solutions. Last fertilizer of the year was Veteran’s Day Weekend where I applied the 3-18-18 product. My soil tests are getting better – pH is up to 6.0 and no deficiencies are noted. Here is the great part: while my lawn doesn’t look as nice as I’d like it to, it certainly looks better. I’m figuring I have another two years before I can relax, but Simple Lawn Solutions is a fixture for the future. I really like the liquid format (particularly the gallon size), the extra products, and the support. Great stuff all around, and everyone remember to enjoy winter!!!!

This product worked very well for me. There was an area of my yard that struggled to grow grass. Impressive product. Bought more and had the same results in other trouble areas of my yard. Highly recommend!

We’ll see if it actually works and gives a healthier lawn, but as far as coverage, the claim on bottle is it covers 3200 square feet. I have a small yard of 600 square foot and it used 3/4 of the bottle. I followed instructions and didn’t over apply, so how do they come up with 3200 square feet? Not even enough for second application.

I’ve used this twice on my Bermuda lawn. No major improvement seen but seems it might be helping but more time and this 2nd application should tell. Easy to use and the hose end sprayer does distribute. (you can see it in the mix due to the dark color) But the first time I had the water pressure up a little less than half on my hose and two bottles were empty before covering the entire yard. I reordered due to some weed killing and sod work going on as well and the 2nd time kept my water pressure very low thinking it would extend the coverage. Still used 1 entire bottle to cover my tiny front yard and a few feet down the side using an even sweep and medium walking pace. Seems to barely dampen the grass at this application rate. I calculate the yard to be around 3500 sq feet of total lawn. My coverage guestimate is more like 1500 sq feet for 32 oz and light almost imperceptible wetting of the grass at that pace/rate.
I will continue to monitor to see how it’s performing in the coming weeks. If my perceptions on coverage are that far off and it comes through like a champ I will continue to use it. If no noticeable performance I’ll find something else that covers better or is less expensive for the coverage obtained. As a comparison when using Spectracide Weed Stop hose end products, I can cover my entire lawn with 1 bottle, borders and all with some left over. They claim Up to 5000 ft on the label. This product would take 2 full bottles and quite a bit of a third and claims up to 3200 ft per bottle.
