Cliente Amazon –
Buen tamaรฑo, ocupa poco pero a la hora de meter DVD originales me ponia como que no leia los colores o algo parecido, lo devolvรญ porque de esta manera no me valia.

Had to replace my more than a decade old LG blu ray player due to loud noise when reading and slow to read. Tried cleaning it with no resolution. Purchased this and was impressed. The youtube app quality resolution is poor but that is not what I’m after (don’t want to spent $200 for 4k blu ray player). Smart TV nowadays have built in app.

This Blu-Ray player is NOT intended for the UK market.
It is supplied with a 12 volt adapter which is designed to run from the 120 volt 60Hz American supply – this is stamped quite clearly on the adapter itself.
Come on Amazon you can do better than this. I live in the UK and I would expect you to supply an item which is compatible with the electricity supply here i.e. 230 volts 50 Hz. There is nothing to the contrary on your listing so I would have expected it to function rather than me having to return it.

Didnโt work at all. Stuck on blue ray screen. Totally unresponsive for both remote and device. They refunded without question.
Now I still need one that works, so a huge waste of time.

My husband Jim and I enjoy watching movies and old TV series from DVD. Our old DVD player was in need of replacement, so I purchased this Sony unit.
Everything about this DVD player exceeded our expectations! Durable construction and so easy to use and set up. Its compact size makes for ease of placement. All of the functions work great.
An incredible value, too. I highly recommend this product.

Picked this up and GoT Bluray set. This seems to play the discs very well. Picture quality is as it should be. But it does pause and skip a bit when loading discs. Response time from when you click a button on the remote to when the player does whats its supposed to is a few seconds at times when loading or if the disc skips. First disc of the GoT BR set I got just stopped playing during the second episode. Not this players fault, sending back the disc set for a replacement. But I cant help to wonder if a better player would be able to handle a questionable disc better… In any event, overall and for the price, worth it.

Bought this to replace a 10 year old Sony DVD player (the remote finally broke). The new one the remote was broken right out of the box. Everything about it is cheap feeling. Amazon return window was closed (It took me a while to get around to setting up the machine), so I went through Sony. They asked me to send proof of purchase, a print out of my Amazon order. The portal they use to upload it doesn’t work. I had to call and get support around that, and the advice they gave me was wrong. I finally got it to work through attaching a photo from the camera roll of my phone, which the portal specifically says it doesn’t support. They rejected the receipt saying it didn’t contain the info (order number, date, price, model number, vendor), but it did. I resent it, highlighting the info in yellow (this time attaching the photo through my phone didn’t work, but the computer did). They rejected it again, again saying it doesn’t contain the right info. I resent it a third time, along with a separate letter pointing them towards the info. I also called them and they pulled it up on the phone to look at it with me. Then they put me on hold for a few minutes, came back and said “okay, so we took a look at it and…” they hung up. Called back, was told it was impossible that the previous rep was looking at it, since they didn’t have the ability to do that. Then Sony started leaving me voicemails telling me they don’t have the information they need. Then I got another email telling me the rejected it again, saying they got it was blurry (it’s a digital file?) and to resend a screenshot from Amazon’s website, not a print-screen. So I go to resend and this time the portal says I can’t attach the file because I am not authorized and I need a login and password. There is nowhere to enter a password. So I call back and they tell me to just email them the proof of purchase. Unbelievable. All told, 9 phone calls, three voicemails, four uploads attempts, three hours of work over four days. And still no progress!
Meanwhile, I bought a beat up old dvd player with working remote at Goodwill for $6. Guess what…it’s not a Sony.

Easy setup. Connected quickly to my Samsung TV. No issues with it. It is the quality one expects. Remote is easy to use too.

Good compact machine, very easy setup, simple and quick connection to my home wifi, quick loading of BD discs and DVDs. A good, basic machine, low cost, and seems “solid” in every way. The remote is simple (uncomplicated) and very serviceable; it’s small, but no bigger than it needs to be, which is very good. If the unit has any down side, I’d say that the services it comes supplied with in the online area are mostly not useful to me, most seem expired or don’t deliver anything. There’s not yet a firmware update (as of March 23, 2023) available for the machine, and maybe an update will contain new and more useful icons to click on which will be up to date and operable, we’ll see. I like this machine!, and it supplements another Sony BD player of mine which has been made “region-free” for BDs and DVDs, but which has no wifi capability. The two players now use up both HDMI inputs into my LG TV. Another great provision of this player is that it comes along with an HDMI cable in the package. I think it is a bargain at the price.
EDIT [added March 26, 2023]: I find that the user manual is unclear or incorrect about ADDING apps to the “[My Apps]” area of the Home Screen. Here is what works for me: To ADD apps to the [My Apps] area, first click the large “+” (plus) sign in the [My Apps] area. A new screen of apps, “[All Apps]”, will appear. In that new screen of [All Apps] icons (tiles), click on one that you want to add to [My Apps]. The selected app will then appear in [My Apps]. To add more apps from [All Apps] to [My Apps], repeat this. I have not yet tried REMOVING apps from [My Apps], but I’ll take a look at that soon. — J.L.M.
EDIT [added March 29, 2023] To REMOVE an app from [My Apps], click “Options” and use the Remove selection.

I like the ease of use, I especially like the inexpensive cost for such a fine product. The is a Sony product, which I had not used before, the brand name is making a good product.
