We needed a new office chair to replace the one in our spare bedroom, and this turned out to be just what we needed. We weren’t looking for a high-end chair, Just a pretty average office chair, and that’s exactly what this is.

It must be assembled before use, and it does provide a small allen wrench–no other tools are required. The assembly process is more challenging than it first appears. The instructions do not provide a narrative of the actual assembly process, only pictures which are somewhat vague. While most of the assembly consists of putting screws in place, some parts of the assembly require frustratingly heavy force to get the screws securely tightened.

The chair is a fairly basic design and features a mesh material for the backrest and cushion, and has solid armrests (ie. no padding). It is decently comfortable and you can adjust the height of the chair easily. It supposedly has a tilt feature that can be locked or unlocked and adjusted, but it seems to only have the height adjustment lever and the tension adjustment under the seat. Overall, it seems like a pretty decent office chair made with decent quality materials.

All in all, this chair is a pretty good buy.

No fuss or frills, this is just a good standard basic office chair. Arrived in a fairly small sized box and with clear instructions but assembly was kinda tough. Some of the different screws and parts didn’t seem to fit together as best as they should and so it made installing it a lot harder than what I was used to. Still I was able to manage and finally achieved a standing chair. Arms don’t move and there is no head support but overall it is a comfortable chair. Has a little lumbar support and the back is breathable which I enjoy. No pressure on the back and I don’t overheat or become sweaty. This needs two people to assemble and a little bit more tools than the wrench provided. I would say to follow another reviewer’s advice and keep your bolts a little loose until everything is as connected as possible to avoid having to take it apart.

Good price, ergonomic, comfortable. Not much to say on that front, it gets the job done. Assembly is very simple, there’s not a lot of steps – but there is one particular step which is really hard to do – physically, not logistically – so you may need a second person. My only small gripe is that the arm rests don’t have my arms up at 90deg like I prefer for my ergonomic mouse & keyboard, even at the tallest setting, so I end up doing hover-hands (not using the arm rests). It’s Staples, so I imagine they did some average arm-length measures to inform their positioning; but it’s just shy of ideal for me at 6’1″. Anyway, worlds better than the standard kitchen chair I was using before, so I’m keeping this as 5-star.

Comfort: The padded seat is comfortable for long hours of work.
Assembly: The assembly instructions were unclear, which made putting it together a bit tricky.
Adjustability: The adjustability features are decent, though not the most high-end or varied.
Durability: The cushioning and build seem durable and likely to last.

I purchased this chair to help my back pain, and although it is better than my dining room chair, it is not padded well enough for me, and the lumbar support is not what I expected. I realize each of our bodies are different and this is made for an average body, but I am a bit disappointed with my purchase. It was however super easy to assemble and arrived as advertised.

    Thanks for reading my review!

Okay, so this chair isn’t the most fancy and it doesn’t come with a lot of bells and whistles, but it also isn’t pretending to be something more than what it is – basic comfort.

A word on the assembly, the instructions were great and I liked the parts (screws) were labeled nicely in each pack to avoid confusion, but you’ll save yourself some trouble if you avoid screwing everything in all the way until all of the parts are in – in my experience, everything fits so tight, there’s hardly any wiggle room so you’ll have to backtrack and loosen screws if you happen to drive them in 100% of the way. Do yourself a favor and drive them in 60% of the way until you have them all in, and then finish driving them in the rest of the way.

The armrests are neither comfortable nor are they torture devices – they do the bare minimum and that’s fine.

As far as comfort goes, it performs decently, although I would advise that you get a lower lumbar support pillow as it is somewhat lacking in that area. For $60 though, there really isn’t a reason to complain.

This came well packed with all the assembly instructions and parts. The instructions said to attach the arms first then the seat. Problem was, if you did that the arms were at a bad position and you couldn’t get the screws to line up with the holes on the seat. Taking it apart and screwing the seat on first helped when a spouse helped hold and align the arms with the pre-drilled holes and using a power screwdriver then hand tightening with the included wrench. 30 mins. later, the chair was together. It has good lumbar support and the mesh back is especially nice in hot weather. The seat cushion is harder than its depth or pictures would lead you to believe and we may add a separate cushion to soften it for prolonged sitting. The height adjustment worked well and it’s a good size for a standard office desk. Rolls easily and smoothly. The people using this chair are all <200 lbs and shorter than 5 foot 8 inches but we all found it fit us well.
