I got these because we swap our winter and summer tires ourselves at home and this way we can mark the tires for where they were when we pulled them off so we rotate them properly the next time we put them on. But these don’t mark the tires! The crayon just doesn’t write well on rubber. A complete waste of money.

Working on classic car, writing on tires. Dad used these or something like them – it just caught on with me.
The broken off – and missing – tips on three of the “crayons” is not terrible in my case; I can get by easily with the remaining good ones. In fact the “stubby” three can be used where thicker lines are okay, like working with flagstones on the pation – occasionally I cut them.

Poor marking like oil crayons that never mark takes like 10 strokes to make a line and not clear may aswell use paint markers do not reccomend for canadian use also been used in July and Aug nothing changed even brake cleaned them to help with the oil ,poor markers do not reccomend unless you like to waste money

I have been a long haul truck driver for a lot of years. Walk around inspection every day and check all 18 tires and at least once a week I find a mail or a screw and mark its place with tire crayon to know where it is when I get to the tire shop . These work great !!

Three star review. These tire marking crayons are for damaged tires only, little did I or others know it’s different from decorating the words on the tires. It seems to mark where a crack or damage would be, won’t work for outlining the words on the tires at all. Despite this, the product is decent quality for the job it does, would definitely last a very long time as the crayons hardly get smaller from use. Used a over fifty year old grease pencil to mark my tires and had held up for five months and through rain and maybe five touch up sessions but grows short from use, if only they made those yet today with the quality. Staying positive, would recommend this product if your a tire repairman over any brand.
