SGinAZ –
These little fixtures are easy to install (the 3 stars are due to the crappy provided connectors) and blend in well with the surrounding garden (once you remove the flashy silver stickers). They could be a little brighter, but overall they do a decent job of lighting up small area. I’m not a fan of the included wire connectors, as they seem pretty hokey. I went with a third party connector (something like the Sterno Home GL22352).

SUNVIE 12W, 12V SET WITH CONNECTORS:
Best on Amazon. Guarantees AC/DC supply works, best LED COB Engine, best materials used, by far the brightest and the best waterproofing design. The included connectors are best in industry, I could not find any better design anywhere else even outside of Amazon. The connectors and lights together are awesome and nothing on Amazon comes close to them. They are multiple times brighter than others, thus, even if they have a slightly higher watt rating you may end up with a lower energy bill as they are so much brighter compared to the rest and you will need less of them. However, LEDs are so efficient that the difference would only be a couple of cents per year. Please see more details in my video. These lights and connectors will most properly last a long time and are a good investment.
ALEDECO 5W
Maybe second best on Amazon but lot of drawbacks. These have quite a good LED COB Light, but it is very small, most properly only about 25% of SUNVIE. They are much less bright, maybe half the brightness of SUNVIE. The materials used are ok, however, the waterproofing is sub-standard. The lens gasket is too less thick and the cable entry fitting has no gasket at all. I am worried about its water tightness and added silicone as additional sealing. The cable is extremely short, too short in my opinion. The connectors are totally worthless, added as advertisement gag for people who do not know better. But now the main problem. The product description says only rated for 12V DC. While those work on AC, the manufacturer will not warranty that as he clearly specifies DC power source. By far the most landscape transformers in the USA are AC. Thus, the life span on a standard US landscape transformer might be shortened and the warranty not granted. Please see more details in my video. If not additionally waterproofed with silicone, I do not see them working for a long time. AC/DC problematic may proof to be critical over time.
ZUCKEO 5W
These have similar body/material to ALEDECO but are worse. They say they are 5W but they are just 3.5W when measured. They are not bright at all and their LED Chip is the worst – seems outdated technology is used. The screw that connects the body to the spike is a Philips screw which really is the wrong type and brings nothing other than headaches during installation. Water tightness similar to ALEDECO, Lens sealing to thin, no gasket at the cable entrance fitting. I used GE silicone to waterproof them. It seems the company is not very honest with Lumen and watt output. The included connectors are worthless and an advertisement gag. Please see my video for more details. If not waterproofed with silicone these lights may not last very long. Update: After 6 weeks 2 of the lights have water drops on the lens. The seller explains that as long as they still work its fine to have water in the body and that I should not put them into area where sprinklers reach. Wow, almost as expected!
MEIKEE 7W
This company has developed a new design, basically replacing Aluminum and glass parts with cheap plastic. Glass lens replaced with cheap plastic lens. Aluminum spikes replaced with plastic spikes. Aluminum cap replaced with plastic cap. Worst, they advertise an IP66 rating but really have the lowest water proofing features of all of them. The cable entrance into the body is sealed with a rubber ring. The ring is not very tight to begin with and rubber/epdm will crack and age with sun exposure over time. I give these the lowest chance of long term durability because of the cheap non-durable materials used and the lowest water proofing potential even if they claim the highest IP66 rating (I am not sure what Chinese body authorized this rating and if the body has any reputation or if the manufacturer just self-claims this). Very disappointed about their trial to cheapen down the product in a new design after having received good reviews for the old design. Please see my video for more details. Update: First lights suffer water intrusion just after a couple of weeks of use, unfortunately almost as predicted…

The lights were pretty easy to setup and the build quality of the lights and pegs were good. The pegs are made it aluminium and shouldn’t corrode whilst in ground. Best sequence of installation for me was laying out the main cable first, securing the pins included in this kit to the cable, attaching the light to the peg via allen key and then installing the light wires to the pins.

Like the connection system – can place lights wherever makes sense. Good level of light from the LED’s. Easy to install. Ground spikes are metal and should last.
Would have liked a spare connector in the pack just in case.
So far the Queensland summer sun and rain have not impacted them. I’m concerned whether the connectors are durable enough to last for a long time, but no problems so far.

I rarely write reviews on my Amazon purchases but this product is too good not to. I looked at a lot of different products for landscape lighting before purchasing these. I’m very particular about products I buy on Amazon and in general and this was one of my favorite purchases so far. These lights are the perfect brightness, easy to assemble, easy to install, and the curb appeal it added to my home is great! The lights have a water resistant, black powder coated aluminum housing that’s sturdy and well made and are not big and bulky. These can easily be hidden behind smaller rocks and bushes for a very clean look. The instructions are also very straight forward and the install was a breeze!
I also purchased the 300W Sunvie transformer with the dual zone option to control the lights and its just as nice. The transformer is heavy duty, great quality and easy to program with multiple options to control the lighting and included a photo sensor.
I would 100% recommend these lights to anyone looking for landscape/accent lighting for your home, you won’t be disappointed. These are a great value for the money!

Received these and installed this weekend and they are a great value for the price. Things to keep in mind:
Brackets – They are metal but can be bent if not careful when pushing the stake into the ground. Don’t push using the light itself. Press on the bottom flat part of the bracket where the stake screws in to prevent lateral bending.
Lights – Seem well built, solid and the LEDs are bright. I’m very impressed with the output. The cable coming out of the housing is a thick and solid rubber surrounding the two line wires. Those wires are thin but are easy to use with the connectors. Note – I tested all the lights with a 9V battery prior to installation to ensure all were functional.
Connectors – Seem solid enough and were simple to use. Time will tell how well the plastic holds up to the elements. Be sure to install the connector on the supply line before connecting to the light (as per the little instruction page). Otherwise you won’t be able to twist on the second half of the housing without having to rotate the light around (which will be impossible to do on both wires). I found after splitting my supply line that the cables were a tight fit in the connector but with some finesse they installed OK. They can accommodate thick gauge wire from lights making the thin wires from the lights in this kit seem very small. Regardless, they still work. I stripped off additional insulation from the light wires and they made solid connection. For those concerned about exposure to the elements I simply filled the end of the connector with silicone caulk to close the gap around the wire.
A note on packaging – When I receive the package from amazon there was a lot of rattling. I discovered the kit from Sunvie was packed into a flimsy and very small box. not sure how it all fit originally but the box had opened during shipment. Nothing was damaged but packing could certainly be better. I ordered a different light kit and each light came protected by foam and other packing material which was much better.
Overall I’m impressed. Ten lights for this price is a good deal. Time will tell how durable these will be and if the electronics hold up well.
