Huge increase in libido, energy, and spontaneous “ups”. I would suggest taking at least 2-3 at a time though. Found taking 1 at a time just didn’t have the kick I wanted. Usually I take 2 in the morning and then 1 in the afternoon. Combine this with some DOPA Mucuna (L-Dopa) for extra energy and libido

I was taking 6 a day. 3 in the morning and 3 at night. I was also taking high doses of vitamin b6. The whole point was to block conversion of testosterone to estrogen with the Muira Puama Root and the vitamin b6 was to keep the prolactin levels down. Between the two, I did have a very high sex drive. I wish I could have gotten labs to check estrogen levels but I didn’t. All I know is after 3 weeks at that high of a dose, I started having joint pain similar to when taking letrozole. After I quit taking the high doses, the joint pain went away. I will continue taking this but at lower doses.

I left a review for the Solaray version of muira puama root which I have been using for many years, intermittently, and I thought I would try this so I bought two bottles. They may fine but I probably won’t even try them because there is no expiration date anywhere on the bottle or on the cap. I got a refund for that.
PS They do have a spicy smell, indicative of freshness so maybe I will try them, but I will not pay for a product with no lot number or expiration date. One problem with the Solaray version of late is that they don’t seem to have as much of the spicy smell or effect as they used to. Someone else also mentioned that the Solaray product isn’t the same anymore.
Update: These were so by the third-party Healthy360 and fulfilled by Amazon, a company not even listed currently. They put their own barcode sticker over the bottom of the Swanson printed barcode part of the label. The second bottle I was able to carefully scrape away the superimposed label over a small portion that gave a manufacture date on the original label, although not a Use By date. The manufacture date was 6/17, so 5 or 6 months before I received it, and assuming they have a two year expiration date, that’s fairly fresh. The problem is the reseller should not cover this up.

It was 2006, I was 23 and had a budding interest in herbs and herbal remedies. I would take random herbs to basically “experiment” on myself and see if the outcome matched up with the claim. My next test would be on Muira Puama.. A South American Virtility Enhancer. Being 23 I had no real use for any kind of Libido Enhancement. But I wanted to give it a try, see if it made things more interesting.. Taking one per night for a couple of weeks I didn’t notice anything. In retrospect, I should have probably should have taken more. But that’s what I took.
Towards the end of the two weeks, I started to notice that my nose was clearing up.. Which was odd being the height of the spring allergy season. I didn’t think anything of it and about a week after I stopped taking Muira Puama my congestion (that I’ve had off and on since childhood) returned.
Perplexed by this, I started taking Muiura Puama again. After about a week (Of building in my system?) my allergies went away again.
Fast forward 13 years and I’m still on one Muira Puama each evening. If I don’t take it, I have about a week until the sneezing returns. Doesn’t seem to be the placebo effect either. I have recommended it to friends and family here locally who have had similar results. After the laughter and doubt cease, the congestion free days begin. I have had no ill effects from doing this. In fact I am extremely healthy and can go for years without catching the cold or flu. I also have perfect blood labs.
I have researched thoroughly since 2006, but have never been able to find any correlation between Muira Puama and allergies. Like many obscure herbs, there is not much research to be found.
