I purchased this light for my turtle tank because I felt the old one needed to be replaced. I’m very happy with this product. My grandchildren like to watch the turtle so it was very important that the outside of the light didn’t get hot. I have even bumped into it when cleaning the tank and the light wasn’t even warm. Because of my set-up I wish the cord was about a foot longer but that would not stop me from purchasing this light again. I would and have recommend this product.
