Whether you’re a gamer, content creator, or live streamer, the 4K Audio Video Capture Card by TCNEWCL is designed to meet your needs. This article delves into the features and benefits of this versatile capture card.

1080P HD High Quality Capture

The TCNEWCL capture card offers high-definition video capture up to 1080p resolution. It supports 4K@60Hz video input with a loop-out function and outputs 1080P@60Hz video via USB 3.0. This makes it ideal for all HDMI devices, including PS4, Xbox, Wii U, DVDs, DSLR cameras, security cameras, and set-top boxes.

High Compatibility & High Speed

One of the standout features of this capture card is its high compatibility with multiple operating systems, including Windows and Mac OS. The high-speed USB 3.0 connector and ultra-low latency technology make it easier to transmit live streaming to platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, OBS, Potplayer, and VLC.

Low Latency & High Applicability

The TCNEWCL capture card excels in capturing video and audio simultaneously, transferring the signal to your computer for preview or storage. It also allows sharing video output from HDMI to the screen without any delay, making it perfect for live game streaming. Ease of use is a crucial factor for any tech product, and the TCNEWCL capture card shines in this area. It requires no drivers or external power supply, making it a true plug-and-play device. Once plugged in, it is automatically identified as a webcam, detects input, and adjusts output automatically. This ensures it won’t occupy your CPU, offering a seamless experience.

Support for Mic-in with 3.5mm TRS Interfaces

This sort of capture setup is perfect when the device you are trying to capture from can’t handle the capture (like a console, or making sure your gaming pc keeps its focus on gaming, and sending the capture to a second computer). The USB output is locked to 1080p but was noticeably smoother than other cards I tried.
The HDMI out unfortunately did not seem to support 144hz, but that may or may not be due to the cables I tried- it also does not claim to support more than 60hz. It does at least support higher resolution on the HDMI than on the USB, so you can play on a better resolution than you record on.
For price ratio this capture card wins. More features get a lot more expensive.

I’m using this to connect an HDMI switcher to my receiver.
    No complaints.
I’m using it for a 1080 signal so I can’t speak to 8k but it works for what I need.

I tested this out using OBS capture software on a Lenovo Legion Pro 5i laptop using both the include USB 3.0 Type A to Type A cable, and then later one of my own cables when I was seeing unsatisfactory results.

Unfortunately I was unable to record from a 1080P 60Hz source without getting minor but still objectionable skipped frames. I tried all frame rate settings and every other recording setting that was available, but nothing would improve it. The skipped frames or judder is visible in the OBS window and not just on the recording. The source is fine and has no judder when outputting directly to a monitor. I don’t immediately see any shortcomings in my computer’s capabilities, but it did give me reason to suspect the included USB cable and try my own, to no avail. I am going try it on my desktop computer as well, although I am not optimistic at this point because the gaming laptop is pretty capable.

On the plus side regarding audio, others have noted that it does not record audio. While I was unable to hear any sound in OBS while recording (I’m new to OBS so it may be a simple setting), the recorded video did indeed have stereo audio.

This is an inexpensive unit and so close to doing what I need, but the judder is unacceptable unless it turns out to be a simple software problem. But with the limited information that comes with the hardware I am unable to make this work for my application.

I got this to get around the frustration of trying to export videos from either my iPhone or iPad, especially slo-mo videos. There are ways of doing this, but sometimes they’re so convoluted as to almost be inaccessible. Other times, I’ll get the video off the device, but running in real-time speed, rather than slow motion. So by using an HDMI adapter, I can just mirror the video and record it onto my computer, where I want it, with this capture device. Now I can get all the video elements I wanted for experimental projects, music videos, and the like.

This device should either show 4K or 1080p, not 100% clear from the description. In any case, it doesn’t even reach 1080p. Compared with an Elgato 4K device, this device does not provide a crisp input.

The good: it was easy to setup, plugging in to my existing HDMI connection and USB into the USB 3.0 port.

The bad: lower resolution than promised – maybe it’s 720p? I’m not sure it’s even that. System recognized a 4K image size, but the result was aliased, and also had some kind of color or gamma adjustment that gives a result that differs from the original signal.

I’ve had a capture card similar to this for almost 3 years working perfectly fine. I bought another one because the old one has hardware issue from me running it too long. Both capture cards look identical but the hardware is not the same. The hardware in the capture cards are cheaper than what they used to be. The hdmi input port went within 2 times of its use. The pass through rate is definitely not as good as the old ones.

First time using this kind of device and It was a fantastic experience.
The only thing that I should add, is that the user Manual should bring instructions regarding the kind of software that we have to use to make it work. Like OBS. I searched on the internet to find out what software to use.
That is why I rate it with 4 stars, not 5.
