Threadmill Supima Cotton 1200 Thread Count King Sheets

I had never really owned great sheets. I was raised thinking sheets were all pretty much the same and interchangeable. What a world of difference these sheets make.

My old sheets were 100% cotton – thin and practical but nothing special. They got old and a bit worn, so I decided to upgrade. After doing a lot of research, these stood out as 1200 thread count sheets within my modest range of affordability. Made in the USA was also a major incentive since almost every other set was imported and virtually none of the decent looking ones seemed to exceed 1000 thread count.

So these sheets are THICK, yet stay cool to the touch even when the room is warm. This is a wonderful and new feeling for me. I’m a picky sleeper who is often prone to getting too hot while trying to fall asleep. These sheets have probably helped me get some of my best sleeping experiences to date.

These sheets are also very soft and feel almost silky, yet possess the firmness and stability of cotton. It’s definitely a unique feeling for me and a bit of a revelation. I did not know cotton could be like this.

The sheet fits nicely on my Queen size bed. There was some excess material along the bottom, but the sheet has been easy to tuck in and never seems to shift. Good fit.

Having pillowcases in this set definitely helped since I’m able to enjoy the same comfort with them as the rest of the set. These help keep my head comfortable and cool while sleeping.

The set includes a flat sheet which I use as an Autumn blanket. This has proven one of the set’s biggest perks. As expected, it is thicker than most flat sheets yet much thinner than a padded sheet. Because it is also breathable, it does a great job at keeping me cool but not too cool. Surprisingly effective temperature control.

Finally, my sheets have an Ivory color. I picked that because… I prefer Ivory. The color looks good and doesn’t overwhelm. It’s subtle and tasteful. I imagine other color sheets from the manufacturer would work just as well.

Overall, it’s a bit hard to describe just how much I like this sheet set. It was very much an investment for me but I figured with how much time one spends in bed sleeping, it only makes sense to go for a better product. This set outperformed my expectations. This is by far the best sheet set I’ve come across and it’s helped me get better nights’ sleeps.

Which is to say I’m very happy with the set and would definitely recommend it to anyone else who could justify the cost, especially for anyone who may be used to more standard bedding like I was.

I tried the 800 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets from the same brand before. They already felt great, and started feeling really soft after 10-12 washes or so. But these 1200 thread count Supima cotton sheets, that’s something else ! Like the 800 thread count they get better over time as you wash them, but they were amazing from the first day. You can say that they feel like velvet, or silk. It’s a little different, but it very soft and nice to the touch yes. I live in Florida and I appreciate that they keep you warm but let you breath, no sweating !

I am never sleeping with anything else !

I bought several sets in different colors and sizes. A problem with the brand in my opinion is inconsistency when it comes to sizes. Not one set has the same size. The Queen size is usually not large enough, and the King Size is often way too large. The Queen Size pillow covers are too short, so I buy King Size pillow covers separately to replace them.

Interestingly, the 800 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets do shrink after 2-3 washes (bummer on the Queens Size that are already not large enough to begin with), but the Supima sheets don’t seem to shrink at all. I wash normally (warm) and tumble dry at low temperature.

The challenge though is washing them. They are heavy. They don’t feel heavy on you when you sleep, but they are heavy and they take space in the wash machine. I have to wash the fitted bottom sheet separately because there wouldn’t be enough water for everything. Also, the sheets tend to roll on themselves and make a big blob. It seems to be unavoidable, so in the middle of the cycle I have to interrupt the machine to unroll and reposition the sheet correctly otherwise it won’t wash correctly and it causes problems when the machine spins to extract the water. To some extent I actually do have the same problem with the 800 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets. But that’s a technicality, I would not trade these sheets for anything else.

Best sheets I have ever purchased. They have more weight and substance. Stitching is nice. Fit is great!
Our mattress and topper equals 17″ deep. Product info states fits up to 18″.
The sheets fit the bed nicely and the fitted sheet has elastic to keep the corners on. When I received them, I checked the fit, then washed and dried twice to take out the smell of the starch for packaging. They came out smelling good and ready to use. My only wish is that more colors were available. I will definitely be a return customer. I have definitely slept better with these sheets as I find them very comforting, not too hot or cold.

I’ve been struggling to find high quality sheets anywhere….these beat even the Wamsutta Dreamzone sheets!!! Worth EVERY penny if you’re looking for high quality sheets!!!
