I like the indiglo although in a well-lit area it isn’t that bright, but it’s understandable and not a reason to not buy it. Here’s some pros and cons:

    Pros:
    Lightweight
    Clean design
    Comfortable on wrist
    Fairly sweat resistant
    Easy to read dial
    Easy to change time

    Cons:
Not great indiglo in the light
Spacing holes for strap are a little too far apart
I broke my nail trying to change the time

Overall great watch, would recommend! ๐Ÿ˜€

I got it for my 75 yr old dad who thinks my obsession with watches is weird, but I love finding high value per dollar in ultra affordable watches too. My dad is frugal and likes that in his gifts, but low price doesn’t have to mean junk. Also, he finds digitals tacky (so all the good low-end Casios were a no go).

I found this Timex, “scratch & dent” on Amazon for just shy of $20, it arrived with the box all beat up, the leather strap was not attached, and there were no spring bars. Still, the watch and strap were in brand new shape. I keep spare spring bars and it was easy to pop the strap on. Strap is on the short side, if you have larger than a 7.5″ wrist, you’ll probably need a different one (a NATO would work well on it, imo). Also, watch is old school size, 35mm, so it may seem small by today’s standards.

Highly legible day or night, it’s got indiglo back light, even though that can wear on the battery if used a lot, it does look sharp in the dark, especially for this price point. Water resistant enough you don’t have to worry about getting it wet, but I wouldn’t go swimming or shower with it.

Watch hit everything my dad likes, Timex has quality choices for a budget watch, and it was still fun for me to find. Timex is not a brand I normally look at, but dad loves it and seeing it in hand, I feel good about the purchase.

I rate 4 stars because it is a lot of watch for $20-30 bucks. Though buyer beware with scratch & dent, if I didn’t already have spare spring bars, I would have been irritated.

Having had various Times watches over the years, I wanted a new one. I picked this on because of the Velcro strap and large, easy to read watch face, The dark blue color is great too.

Affordable. Large numerals so easy to read. Has date as well. Indiglo feature so can light up face as needed. Comfortable leather strap.

Watch is easy to set up and definitely seems high-quality, with the caveat that I’ve only used it for a couple of weeks so far. Looks nice – don’t think you’d be able to look at it and tell with a glance that it’s only a $37 watch (or $50 – I think that’s the original price based on the timex website listing). I got the 35mm diameter one, and when I opened the box I thought it was going to be too small, but when I put it on it actually looks very proportional and appropriately sized. The only possible downside is the ticking, which I’m not used to as someone who hasn’t worn a watch in a while – it’s very quiet & not noticeable most of the time, but when I’m in a quiet setting it can be slightly distracting sometimes.

Didn’t want anything fancy or complicated. Haven’t even set the date. Just wanted something that was handy to check the time without constantly looking at the phone. The night light is perfect as well. Easy to read with a perfect band that’s infinitely and comfortably adjustable. Also reasonable enough that won’t sweat use and abuse, or losing it. Subjectively functional for what I personally want in a watch.

I dare you to find another watch that has all these features. I tried and this was the only watch to meet my criteria. This is a very classy, lightweight, easy to read, affordable, water-resistant, analog watch, with a night light and a day/date display.

Its style is a very understated classic round face with only one side button and no phony tachometer/compass or built-up “rugged” appearance. It has a very demure chrome appearance with a leather strap which works well for everyday use at home, work, or even for a night out.

Being lightweight, it does not slide up and down on your wrist like some of the heavier more “manly” looking watches do. Since it’s not overly large, it also does not yell out “look at me”, rather it simply does it job quietly and out of the way.

It is easy to read on many levels. The numbers are large, the font is a san-serif style without any fancy end strokes, plus they are bold and black on a white background.

Amazon has some of the best prices out there, but even without Amazon’s great deals, this watch will still run you under $50. A great price for a rare find.

Some watches at this price range are not water resistant, however, this one can be taken into the shower or while washing dishes without any worries whatsoever.

I used to think digital watches were easier to read and made more sense, yet the truth is, analog watches give you a better “sense” of time, as one can see visually what percentage of a particular hour has been “used up.” A digital watch simply does not give you that same feeling. Plus, with its constantly moving second hand, it is very easy to orient oneself to the passage of time.

Timex’s Indiglo back light is quite unique and hard to find in other watches. A simple press of the one and only side button activates this glowing light that lights up the entire watch background for a super-easy to read dial in any grade of low-light or even pitch black. I think this feature alone makes Timex watches a must have.

Finally, the best feature, in my mind, is the fact that it tells you what day of the week you’re on (i.e., MON, TUE, WED, etc.) as well as the date (i.e., 12, 23, 31, etc.). Yes, maybe I’m a bit forgetful, but there are times, when you just need to verify the day you’re on. Especially when there are holidays and you’re thinking it’s Sunday, when really it’s a Wednesday. Sometimes it’s a regular day and you just can’t remember, it happens.

In summary, this watch has a brilliant set of features you are not likely to find anywhere else. I was ready to spend $300 on a watch that fit the bill, and this one did it for under $30. Hands down, the best watch you can get with all these features at this price-point and even higher ones.

This was a gift for my father. He wanted an easy to read analog watch with day and date. Timex hit this one out of the park. It checked all boxes and has a great leather band. My Dad said it was easy to set up and “it is just the right size, not like those huge watches these days.” So this was a win!
