The Deco AXE5499 replaced a Netgear Orbi router I had used for almost eight years. The Deco AXE5400 is connected to my altafiber 600Mbps fiberoptic network and provides the same speed. However, the Deco router connects to the satellite automatically and can easily moved to the best place in the house to optimize the connection. Additional satellites can be added and connected to the main router without a problem. The app can be downloaded to the smartphone and provides detailed feedback of all online clients. The clients can be sorted by name, connection type, device type, and by IP address. Updating the firmware is conveniently done using the app as well, something that required to use the web app for the Netgear units and never worked. In summary, this Deco router works well, is easy to setup and to manage.

I’ve tried several other systems, including the top-of-the-line NightHawk system. Our house is 3 stories, 5500 sq.ft. We also have VERY high-speed network connectivity, but we also have heavy bandwidth usage- kids with TVs and home-school computers (lots of Zoom meetings), my home office, my wife’s office as well.
Depending on location in the house, as well as what others were doing, the previous systems had lag issues, interruptions, etc., basically because the overall network wasn’t big enough, strong enough to cover the entire house.
It was time to move to a mesh network. We ordered this system, swallowed hard over the price (after repeatedly paying for systems that failed to deliver) and set it up. Master is on the main floor, one slave on the lower level (East end of the house) and the other on the third floor, West end.
Coverage is OUTSTANDING. The 2GHz setting (per instructions) simply didn’t cut it, had same issues… Plugged into 6GHz network, and now no more lagging, no more issues whatsoever.
Remote app for control is also extremely helpful. Main network supports primary electronics, kids’ TVs, Ipads, etc., are on the “guest” network, which I can switch on or off from my phone, when it’s bed-time. Makes it extremely easy to “convince” my kids it’s time to hit the sack! App also allows for quick diagnosis, review status, etc., from my phone whenever needed.
Overall, the system is simply outstanding. The nearly $500 I spent for this was worth every penny, and I no longer have to worry about lag issues on a meeting with a client. The remote control of the guest network means I have sufficient leverage over my kids without having to get out of bed. It just runs smoothly, with no drama, and everyone is quite happy with the results.

Had Google Wifi with 3 access points and it constantly lost connection. Finally gave up on Google and bought the TP Link Deco AXE5400. With the Deco, I have one less AP, but way better coverage. There were several dead spots in my home that I could never get the Google Wifi to cover. Not with the Deco! Every corner of the house is covered with fast reliable Wifi. I have more than 60 connected devices on two networks and everything is finally working seamlessly.
Setup was very easy, I just wish you could do anything without having to make an account first, but I digress. The app is the only way to configure this Deco model. I wish there was a browser interface, but the app is intuitive and seems robust in features. The only glaring omission is the ability to run an internet speed test at the router. It would be nice to see the speed my ISP is providing.
I’ve had these for about a month now. The router is on one side of the basement. There is a wired AP in the front of the house on the first floor, and the second AP is also on the first floor but on the opposite side of the house from the router. The second AP is not wired and has disconnected once. I set it to always connect through the wired access point and haven’t had any issues since.
If you are suffering with Google Wifi constantly disconnecting like I was, then I assure you, this Deco system will be a huge upgrade.

I had previously used TP-Link Deco X20’s in an 1800sqft condo, and they worked very well. I’ve since moved in to a 3 story townhouse with a basement, so I needed more coverage. I was glad to find that I could use these X75’s alongside my X20’s. So I have one pod on each floor, and it covers every square inch of my home, as well as the garage, backyard, and front driveway. Excellent coverage with solid speeds even outside.
I’m using these pods with wired backhaul through MoCa adapters connected to my existing coax outlets. I can then utilize the 2 extra ethernet ports on each X75 pod (the X20’s only had 1 extra port) for completely wired connections. I even attached a 5 port switch, and it works beautifully, providing wired connections as needed, along with fantastic WiFi converage and stability.
While these are probably not the most customizable mesh wifi pods out there, there are lots of options, and all the standard things are there. They keep it pretty simple, and that’s a good thing. They work extremely well right out of the box. What more do you need?

What I like the most are the square ft. The bigger square ft are much better pickup wi fi. Make sure you have a carrier, if you don’t, you won’t have a Wi Fi at all. This unit will pickup wi fi 7200 square ft. Let me tell you, it doesn’t lie to you. The best wi fi unit I’ve ever purchased. Internet is super fast and superior. I don’t mind to pay the price. The most important part of this unit is the square feet.
Setup? When you open the box with 3 units inside the box, grab the unit from the middle. Why? The middle is the main unit because you have to connect the telephone jack to this unit. If you grabbed the left or right unit, it will NOT work at all. It will turn into from blinking red to solid red. You Must grab the Middle unit, that’s your main unit and it will turn solid blue. Like I said, when you open the box, grab the unit from the middle. I have learned my lesson grab the unit from the left , it doesn’t work. It will light up from blinking red to solid red. They’re all look the same but it’s not setup the same.
The apps is very easy setup and will walk you through it to setup. The price of this unit not too fond of it but it’s worth it. It works great. If you know your square ft of your houe. I recommend the higher square ft of the router signal higher than your house square feet. Overall, I am very happy with this unit and I do highly recommend it if you willing to pay this much. I did. It’s worth it.

No he tenido caídas de Wifi, desconecciones repentinas o Wifi lento.
