I think it works great, it’s not the fastest but is good enough for moderate to heavy usage. The usb gets moderately warm during use but never gets uncomfortably hot. I have played lite games with it and it seems to work well, the low profile design also helps it stay nice and discreet on my MacBook with a broken airport card, it did need third party drivers as the included ones were for macOS 10.9 which is extremely old. So the ease of use is not great but once the drivers are set up it works like a charm, and it connects automatically very nicely.

I have a client for whom I could not solve persistent Internet issues with her network card and Internet. When I was installing Starlink at her house, I opted to put these on both of her computers because we had to place the Starllink router outside of cable reach of the PCs. I’ve always had great luck with TP Link and use this brand for everything in my network. This adapter had excellent signal strength and worked perfect under Windows. Linux, no luck. I’m using Mint 21.3 and Linux kernel 5.15 and tried many, many drivers. Most worked and would show very good signal strength but very little data transfer, if any. It was like there was no internet at all. I sought advice on many Linux forums, since I am no expert, and nothing helped. Unfortunately I bought this specifically for a Linux computer.
It is a great little adapter and works great overall, it just wasn’t very Linux friendly in my experience. I am going to keep it for a spare and it is faster then the internal adapter in my girlfriend’s laptop. If any other Linux users have better luck than I did I hope they leave a review with advice, I tried everything with no luck.
