From this point on, here’s the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a “star rating” equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn’t meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller’s feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

I bought this to speed up Internet connection for an LG TV with 100Mb max. Connected on USB but it did not work. Instead I connected it to my PC hit by lightning and now I have the internet back on it. It did not require any software or drivers for USB 2.0 Speed is only between 40-80Mb on a gigabit port from router. Somewhat disappointing speed but at least I have the internet again.

I have sling TV and for months I have been having problems with my TV buffering and going out. Even with the TV plugged straight into the router it was still going out multiple times a day. I came across the video where an influencer explained how an Ethernet adapter for the USB port would give a much better signal. It’s still might give me a couple of issues a day our Internet is just not the best but it is drastically better! Now I can watch TV on live streaming for hours and it won’t go out. I definitely recommend if you are struggling with this issue that you try an Ethernet USB adapter connector like this one

After running an internet speed test on my TV’s wired Ethernet connection I was getting a download speed of 97MBS. After doing some research I found out these TV’s have only a 100 Base-T Ethernet card in them hence the 97 MBS top speed. Bypassing this Ethernet card via this Gigabyte Ethernet to USB cable I was able to see the same download speed I was seeing on my computer. New download speed is 267 MBS. WOW! This really brought my new TV to life. Going into Tubi is instantaneous as compared to the spinning circle I was seeing before this unit was in place. Just to note with the Wi-Fi TV connection I was seeing 137 MBS. So I more than doubled my download speed with this unit. So this if a thumbs up for me! Hope this helps some of you who have this TV set. Good luck Kevin Constantine

Anyone using their laptop in a home environment needs an adapter such as this to maximize their laptop’s performance.
As laptops have evolved over the past 20 years, they have become smaller, cheaper, and much lighter, but at the cost of far fewer hardware features. One of the features long ago removed from laptops is an ethernet port. Such a port allows for an ethernet (wired) connection to the internet which in home environments is much faster and more stable than a wireless connection.
This adapter nicely solves this loss. With so few USB 3.0 ports on the modern laptop, I have this adapter plugged into my laptop’s multi-port USB 3.0 hub instead, and it works fine. The Amazon webpage barely mentions it in the fine print, but this adapter works OK on Windows 11, and is plug and play on Windows 11, too. Windows 11 on my laptop even recognizes that the ethernet adapter is connected to the internet and automatically changes the laptop’s internet connection to ethernet from wireless. This may well be one of the few things Windows 11 does properly.
Note that the home user has to supply the ethernet cable to run from the internet modem to this adapter when plugged into a laptop. Amazon has a wide selection of ethernet cables, one of which should be ordered at the same time as this adapter. Be sure to get a cable that is long enough!

Jag fick en ny laptop från jobbet som inte hade ethernet-uttag, så jag köpte denna lilla mojäng. Funkade perfekt utan något tjafs eller problem. Jag bara startade windows och vips så stod det att jag var uppkopplad och allt funkade. Kan varmt rekommendera för liknande behov.
