Be careful where you show one in public. The police cannot afford to wait for someone to explain that it is a BB gun!

As noted, it’s way cool, and it shoots BBs. Apart from getting a real one, this will suffice.

I fell in love with this gun on ww2 games. Once I saw they had a version as a replica airgun I jumped at the chance! It is hard to get a good read on the sights, but once you do they’re not bad. The worst part is the magazine. It’s the same one they use for the Thompson in which the 2 co2’s face opposite. It doesn’t puncture them evenly all the time, and It’s hard to get the cap screwed in tight, then undoing it is near impossible without extra momentum. The slide with the spring for the bb’s is also the same way, it’s loose and always snaps back by barely touching it. I had to hold the thing sternly and load my bb’s in carefully with my OWN PERSONAL speed loader. Which BTW I think those should legit be standard for a 200$ bb gun to include since I can’t even fathom how hard it would be to load 60 bb’s into the garbage magazine. Also. Although it’s TRUE TO LIFE REALISTIC. It would have been nice to make it atleast somewhat easy to put an actual optical on.

I had high expectations when Umarex announced an M3 Grease Gun replica, and it does not disappoint. It has nearly the same weight and heft as the original, and even operates nearly the same. You can even remove the wire stock and unscrew the barrel like on the original. Unlike the original though the dust cover does not function as a safety. Instead it has a safe-semi-full auto selector switch on the bottom. There are only a few plastic parts on this gun… the entire body is made out of metal. The magazine is pretty easy to load, but it’s hard to get it to hold the full capacity of 60 BBs unless you can get them to stack just right inside the tube. Usually I only manage to get a little over 50 in there, but that’s still plenty of firepower. The mag takes two CO2 cylinders, and unless you conserve gas by shooting only in semi-auto mode you’ll have to replace them after two full magazines. I couldn’t fire off a third reload without running out of gas partway through.

The negatives of this gun are basically the same as on the original. The sights are crude and non-adjustable, the trigger pull is pretty heavy, and accuracy is minute of pop can at best. But for 99% of us this is as close as you are ever going to get to being able to own an M3 Grease Gun. Even if you don’t shoot it regularly it looks great hanging on the wall.

Fully fun and well made. It uses (2) CO2 canisters per magazine and runs out exceedingly quick… But while it lasts, it’s a blast!

Very fun. I only wish I didn’t have to reload sooner. ‘Giggle’ mode is addicting. Soon I’ll need to order more cartridges and bb’s. If I had to make a suggestion, which I doubt is very practical, is to put the co2 cartridges in the body of the gun, and let the magazine(s) just hold the bb’s. Easy change-out. But, I know zero about gun engineering. It’s still a very well-made gun, and solid. Also, the sites are very well aligned. No problem hitting my chain link fence pole at 40 + feet. I’m thankful I have a large piece of property to shoot.

The plug that holds both co2 cylinders in place, had very rough threads out of the box. They never seated correctly. While removing the plug after 3 magazines, the plug exploded out and tore the magazine base. Just glad it wasn’t pointing at my face. Pretty reluctant to use either of these guns now ( i have an MP40 also rough to get both co2’s to pierce. Just make sure to shoot till all the gas is discharged. And if rough threads, return that magazine. It took 10 minutes to find where the plug went to. Other than that, really fun to shoot. full auto is powerful in this gun for 3 1/2 magazines. Heavy, get a sling, and get a maintenance kit, and an additional mag.

I’ve always enjoyed interesting air gun replicas and to finally have a replica of the US M3 grease gun is more that awesome.
I’ve had it now for a couple of months and it has run beautifully and get so much attention out of the gun range. I love informing people about The history of this iconic firearm and what made me jump at the chance to own it.
