But the cheaper price definitely comes with cheaper materials, and it’s showing after only a couple months.

The tea basket that goes in is of cheap, flimsy, hard to clean metal that I handle with care for fear of crushing it while handling. It is hard to clean properly, shredding the bottle brush I use, and a sponge doesn’t fit in, and I suspect would have the same fate. It was stained an unattractive color from the hot water less than a month after buying.

I genuinely cannot tell if the top (not the lid, the plastic rim of the pot) is supposed to come off or not. Either I’ve been cleaning it the hard way with a bottle brush the whole time, or it’s already falling apart. Given the sealing component visible when the rim pops off, I suspect the latter. I encourage tea lovers to get one of these devices- but of a better brand.

It does say 120V in the info but not always noticed as why would we on Amazon.co.uk most would assume all electrical items sold by amazon in the UK would be 230V. If it said that at the top ” Not Suitable for UK Power supply” i would not have bought it!
