For the money, this is a really feature-packed projector. I was looking for a projector that has 3d support. Most of the cheaper projectors, the “bluetooth” ones don’t support it. I couldn’t understand why they had every other feature, but didn’t add 3d in. However, this Viewsonic projector does support 3d and it looks really great. As far as the usual projector stuff, this projector has decent brightness — it looks ok even in a room that isn’t pitch dark (we had a few lamps on). It looks nice in a dark room. If you’re looking for a super bright picture in a bright room, you might want to consider a larger, more expensive projector.

As far as 3d, to produce a 3d image you need three things. A projector (like this one) that supports 3d and projects the 3d image, you need a player that can play 3d disks (I bought an LG Bluray player that plays 3d disks) and you need 3d glasses. For glasses, I’ve seen a few people say you need to buy the Viewsonic PG-something glasses. Well, those glasses don’t appear to be made anymore. However, don’t worry, you just need to buy any regular old active shutter glasses that are for DLP projectors. Buy one of the brands that say they support all kinds of DLP projectors–this Viewsonic won’t be in their supported list, but they will work with this projector. I had a little difficulty with the glasses, probably because I was turning them on incorrectly. But, if you mess with them, you’ll get it.

Also, another nice thing about this little projector is the sound. Wow! Its very impressive for such a little box. Its good enough to use to watch a movie, unless you’re really after that thunderous sound of a movie theater, then you could explore the bluetooth option and connect a bluetooth speaker to this projector.

There’s a few things I don’t like. First, if you use the built in arm as a base, on mine at least, the display is crooked. Also, the projector is so light that the HDMI cable will move it. So, to get the projector properly placed, you need to mess with the HDMI cable or even tape the cable down to the table where your projector is. I mostly solved the problem by attaching a tripod to the projector — your tripod will just screw into the bottom of the projector. A pretty cool feature.

It does have the ability to play movies from micro SD cards and external hard drives. I haven’t messed with any of those. Its also connects to WiFi–that went very smoothly for me. That’s nice in case there are any firmware updates, you can get them instantly over WiFi.

So, overall, this is a really great budget projector with alot of features. One of its biggest strengths is that it supports 3d–very, very rare in this price range.

The device has no wireless connection. This is a great handicap. You cannot establish a wireless connection from your computer. You have to connect to HDMI or Type-C. Such a successful device should have been wireless. I’m disappointed.

The picture and sound quality are excellent. I like the auto focus and keystone correction. It even comes with a protective carrying case.

Pros- The M2 is Bright and clear when inside with some ambient light. love it and glad I bought it despite a few draw backs I can live with.
Nice case, portable. Bought a Yoobao 26800 mAh 45w power bank works perfect with it. We enjoy it nightly, i love it, but to be fair I gotta tell you the cons so you know what your getting.

    Cons
-the remote feels like sometimes you need to push it more than once but it could be lag, or has to be perfectly aimed, not sure yet but it lacks compared to other remotes, especially considering the year it came out.
    – smart apps are lame considering a mouse is required, again pointing to the lame remote that should be able to move the cursor in netflix. Roku made this a non issue. Seriously viewsonic, this is weak considering smart tvs been around a while.
    – the fps seems to be less than 30, sometimes 10 when watching via roku. I’m tech savvy and have yet to find the perfect settings to fix this. Could be the 4 corner adjustment causing it to lag.
    – 4 corner adjustment, hmm, glad it has it, but it shouldn’t have to. The auto keystone works good ONLY if its perfectly level, and your screen is perfectly level (like a blank wall with extra room to spare) however soon as you put it on a limit size (like a pull down screen) where the edges need to be perfectly lined up, you’ll need to use the 4 corner adjustment to line it up, which overrides the auto keystone and then seems to lag and slow down the frames per second.
    – all of these point me to belive it has a weak processor that can only handle so much. At first I thought it might be my roku sick but roku stick works fine on all my other TV’s and is a higher end 4k stick. We have very fast internet so i don’t feel like it was a connection issue.

    – HDR says it has it, even shows in the options, but says off and grayed out, even thought roku supports hdr it doesn’t seem to want to turn on in the m2. No other settings to turn it on, maybe it will get a firmware patch someday. Not sure it needs it, it’s already rich in color and contrast. But just knowing it should…

Summary- still glad I spent extra for the HD and lumens, I can live with the issues or work around them.

Un très bon projecteur que je recommande.

Bonne luminosité, la netteté est supérieur à plusieurs projecteurs que j’ai eu avant celui ci.
    Je recommande
