Shipping came almost two weeks faster than what was quoted. Unit was professionally installed in my 2013 6speed manual Dodge Dart. Everything works great.
I purchased this as a replacement to one I already had. Apparently this model’s antenna sometimes fries the main brain which is what happened to my last one. I hope this one lasts longer than a year and a half like my last one didn’t lol.
I’m pretty sure I could have got it replaced through the manufacture but I didn’t want to strip everything out of my car to send it back.

This is awesome, you will need a modulator also which is only an extra $30. I can start my car from about a mile out, I have not tried it that far yet but I do know from inside the American Airlines Center in Dallas to the parking lot down the street I was able to start it without even having the lot or my car in sight! DO NOT BUY THIS FROM BEST BUY! Best Buy will over charge you, they gave me a quote for over $500 and this was before any shop fees or parts needed to finish the job. I bought this remote start, a modulator, and an install from a local shop and had everything installed for around $400. This is a great remote start system, it does not include the alarm nor the modulator required for your car but overall well worth the price.

Works very well.

Works great! The local places wanted 400-500 bucks for a install package that included this system; however, I decided to install it my self. I picked up the idatalink interface and had the system working in a couple hours. Probably took me longer than most because my arms were too long to work under the dash so I just pulled the entire ignition harness out of the dash! The interface took care if 99% of the work just by hooking it to the obd diagnostic port and I only had to tap into a few more connections (eg. Horn) to get it fully operational. The hardest part was the super Annoying programming procedure, had to YouTube that part.

Worked great for about 2 weeks, and now the unit is not sending out a starter signal. Had it installed by a Viper dealer, and took it there once it stopped working, and the figured out that’s what the issue is. Dealer said he has never seen this issue before, and that the unit is probably “b stock.”

Is pretty easy you just have to read diagram right and learn how to to set it up tru the valet button if you don’t do the vallet set up it won’t do nothing it could be connected right but it wont do nun untill you set up controller

Great Product but kind of a pain. You have to go to a Viper dealer to have installed which was not known before buying product. After paying this much for this product then you must bend over for the Dealers install fees. The system has so much capability, but the dealer wanted to nickel and dime me for every little thing like i.e honking when car locks/unlocks, remote start with defroster, bonnet pin, or pop truck(simple stuff). Great product just watch who installs it ask what your getting before installing. the Dealer said they even charged me more because I purchased the product online and brought in vs. buying in store.
P.S. Best Buy was hands down the most expensive quote out of anybody I dealt with, they would be my last stop.

The product works really good. The remote range is exceptional, it does take some getting used to when setting up the features how you like them.
I found that installing the module was more work than expected. The schematic could have had more information to better better understand the design for some of the wiring.
In my experience, the module required the use of several added relay’s. The negative ground switched trigger wires operated relay coils which then operated the desired function on the vehicle.
So far I have the door locks, rear defogger, dome light, and remote start hooked up. I have yet to complete the rest of the wiring.
I would have liked to have two 2-way remotes instead of one 2-way and one 1-way remote.
After a few days of use I can say the unit works as designed.
I like the built in temperature sensor on the box, however being installed inside the dash, I believe the temp sensor will not properly register the vehicle cabin temperature. I would have liked for it to have wires and to have been mounted under on the outside of the dash instead of inside the module which is inside the dash.
This remote start from viper was installed on a vehicle without any factory alarm or remote locking system, so I can not speak for how well it interfaces with an existing module in the vehicle.
One thing I did notice which seems odd is if you remote start and lock.unlock the doors in a certain pattern, when the doors are re-locked, then the remote start is shut off, the doors will unlock, then re-lock for no reason. I do not mind it because the doors stay locked, but I do think it is unnecessary.
One feature I wish it did was pressing unlock one time should only unlock the driver door, then pressing a second time should unlock all doors.
Locking should lock all doors.
This can be setup easily with external logic, however it would have been nice to have this as an option already built in.
I would recommend to a friend it works great.

Functioning perfectly although it hard to wires

Very easy to install (for a seasoned electrician). Included wire harnesses have the correct length to do a good clean install. The remote gets good range and I like the confirmation lights and tones. The use of aux channels and 3rd party hardware let me use the remote to control a variety of extra equipment. Programming however is a bit difficult until you get the hang of it. Thankfully you only need to program it once and its good to go! I would love to show you a video of my setup in action but it gets flagged and removed for some reason. Still an excellent system!

Works perfect and very easy to use on my manual transmission.
