This is a great feeder. I have a squirrel who love to dump out the seed. They have not been able to get into this one! My bigger birds love it. Only issue and it’s not a deal breaker for me. When it rains heavily, you have to clean out seed from the feeder. It cakes up around the rim and the birds won’t eat it. It advertises that it drains well, that is not the case for me.

This bird feeder comes with its own hanger with a tightening mechanism so you can install it just about anywhere. It looks elegant in our backyard. It’s easy to fill. Just pop open the top with one twist. Twist close to keep the squirrels from scooping your birdfeed out from the top. Releases a steady amount through bottom holes. Excited to watch the birds with this one.

The feeder is nice looking and appears to be sturdy so far. However, there is a design flaw in how the feed top secures into place. It screws into a shaft that runs through the middle of the feeder. When you fill the feeder, seed gets into the top of the shaft and that prevents you from being able to lock the top back into place. Getting the seed out of the shaft without turning the whole thing upside down is very difficult.
Seems like the simple fix would be to design the shaft and hanger brace to allow the seed to pass through it so it doesn’t get trapped in the top of the shaft. Or design a different way to tightly secure the lid to the feeder.

The bird feeder is really pretty to look at. However, I feel like the chrome-metal foot-handles on this feeder take away from the beauty and are extremely flimsy. The feeder isn’t squirrel proof either unfortunately.

This Vivace feeder is simple to fill with any type of bird seed and attracts many different species. I can spend all day watching the birds eat while they perch on the metal wire stands. This feeder is mainly for small birds like Chickadees, Nuthatches, etc,; however I have seen BlueJays and an occasional squirrel try to feed from this feeder, but they were unsuccessful because of their weight and size. This feeder is a beautiful addition to any yard. In addition, it is sturdy and I keep mine out year-round in the Pacific Northwest.
