I bought this as a travel monitor since we can’t bring our video monitor with us on trips. It works great, and the sound quality is clear. We’ve used it several times now and had no issues. I can’t comment on the battery life as we typically leave it plugged in, but it lasted at least two hours unplugged without the battery dying. Great for traveling with little ones! Well worth the money!

Wanted a monitor for travel, so needed one that was not WiFi dependent and didn’t want to spend a lot since it’s only for occasional use. This is small, easy to pack and worked great on a cruise. We could put the baby down and watch a movie in my parents cabin next door and hear any time baby stirred. Will be really handy on future trips.

This would be the perfect low budget audio monitor but for two things:
1) the volume is too low. I have it maxed out and still have to hold the thing to my ear to make out if my baby is crying.
2) every time you plug it in, there is a super LOUD, super long digital announcement reminding you to keep the baby unit 3 feet away from the baby. Why not just plant a giant sticker on the unit if it is so all fired important? If the parent unit is anywhere in the vicinity of the baby’s HOUSE when plugged in, it wakes the baby up!
Runners-up:
Cord is way too short on the baby unit for something that must be plugged into power and also positioned in range (but not less than 3 feet away!)
No rechargeable battery on the baby unit, so you are totally at the mercy of outlet placement.

リビングにあるオートロック対応モニタ付きインターホンの音が寝室にいると聞こえづらく、宅配便等が来ても気づかないことが多かったため購入。本体は大きいかと思ったら手のひらサイズでちょうどよいです！集音の感度もとても良く、ベビー用モニターはリビングと寝室の中間地点である洗面所にフックで吊るし、寝室に親用モニターを置いてますが、ドアを閉じていてもインターホンの音がきちんと聞こえました、文句なしに最高！使わない時は電源OFFにしています。
海外製だったので日本国内(A-type,100V,東日本50Hz)で使えるか心配でしたが、そのまま使えます！
・付属電源アダプターはA-type（2ピン）
→日本のアウトレットにもサイズぴったり合いました。
・電源アダプター：INPUT 100V-120V-60Hz対応
→東日本は50Hzですが、ラジオ・テレビ等の電気製品の場合は60Hz製品をそのまま使ってOKです。
（東京電力TEPCOサイトで確認）
親用モニターは充電式リチウム電池が付属しておりワイヤレス対応ですが、置くことが多ければ電源アダプター接続をおすすめします。（ちなみに付属のリチウム電池は日本のコードレスフォンに使われているものと形が一緒でした）
ベビー用モニターは電池対応していません、付属アダプターのみ可能です。

Monitor was a good price, works well, good sound quality. No complaints about anything other than the insanely annoying “V-Tech cares about your baby’s safety” announcement that plays loudly every single time the receiver is turned on. There is no way I’ve found to disable, mute, or even lower the volume on this announcement.

I use this product for my two young children to listen to while I’m busy around the house. Picks up on sound great and durable. The battery doesn’t last long if it’s not plugged in that’s the only down fall. Other wise i love this product.

After we got this monitor, we have gained our freedom to work in our terrace office, when our kids sleep at night. It has a good range and is very reliable. It it very easy to use too. But For battery use, it doesnt last long. The only thing is make sure you turn it off when not in use, otherwise people can hear unwanted conversations. 😅

I should have got this a long time ago. I thought monitors all came with screens and cost over $40. I just needed a basic monitor that helps me get to my child when he wakes up. This one is very affordable and does what I need. I keep it plugged in most of the time and sometimes I carry it on me. I keep a loud fan in the room and it does not interfere with the sounds of my baby. The button needs to be held down for a long time to turn off. But it does the job nicely.

Due to travel we were without our normal monitor for 2 weeks. I ordered this one and it’s worked well. The volume control is decent, set up was easy, and I never lost connection. The battery life will not last a full night (ie, 11-12 hours)—more like 5. So I kept it plugged in all the time except for naps.
