This is a scam. Product does not meet the requirements, was sent broken and ended up smoking 1’ after it got connected to the socket. It doesn’t work with European socket types

I bought this because my American Cocker was badly overdue for a grooming. I’ve cut her hair on my own once before, but the clippers weren’t very good to begin with and they stopped working after that one time. I had gotten her from a shelter and they did a botched job of a haircut. They basically just cut out the mats she had which left her with really long strands of hair in some places and in some places it being really short. She literally looked like she lost a fight with a lawnmower. All I basically did that one time was shave her completely down because there was really nothing else I could do with that horrible cut she had.

I took her to the groomer’s twice since then. I spent just as much for one trip as I did for buying these clippers. The groomer does a decent job, it’s just that she never understands what I mean when I explain how I want her hair cut. I like her hair long and I do what I can to maintain it. My dog has never had mats since I’ve had her. In other words, I don’t just take her to the groomer to get her shaved down or a puppy cut. When I take her to the groomer, she always cuts it too short or doesn’t cut it enough.

I think my hair cut for her looks pretty good for having very limited experience cutting dog hair. (Although, I’ve cut people hair many times, so it’s not so different) I basically shaved down her back and chest, kept her head and legs long, but trimmed it just a bit. She looks really cute and I think the clippers did a really good job in the amount of time it took. Last time I gave her a hair cut, it took twice as long and she had a lot less hair then. I also liked the fact that it included multiple combs so I was able to blend the short hair into the long. And the scissors were really sharp. Better than hair scissors I’ve bought for $5+.

The clippers were strong enough to keep up with her really thick fur. However, I feel like they were good enough for this job, but if I had decided to do all of her body they wouldn’t have held up. Toward the end, they weren’t cutting as well and I had to set it to the coarse hair setting to cut the last bit around her neck. And had to remove the comb I had attached to cut the hair that grows on the sides of her face.

The noise level of the clippers was tolerable and understandable. My dog wasn’t afraid of the buzzing at all. However, when you switch the clippers on, it makes a really loud “snap” sound. I feel like this noise is what startled my dog because after so long she learned that noise meant it was coming at her soon. I became aware of it too when I saw her jump at the switch.

They also get really hot after so long and I had to switch to scissoring the long bits and took two other breaks to let the clippers cool down. I’m sure the heat effected their performance because when they weren’t working as well anymore, I stopped and oiled them and it made no difference. (I also oiled them before I started using them and when hair got stuck in them about a 3rd of the way through) I can’t imagine how anyone could cut their pet’s hair in 15 mins, like I read someone say. I also do not think they would ever hold up for a large dog.

I found the manual to be completely disorganized. It went from how to cut the head to blades to how to groom horses, then Schnauzers, then the taper lever, then how to groom sheep, then Spaniels, then safety, then poodles then how to groom the stomach and legs. (or something like that) Also, to clarify another review the lever that supposedly made her hair cut really uneven, is the taper lever. (If she bothered to read the manual she would know that.) It moves the blades to different angles in order to give a closer cut without the use of a comb. I found this to be more of a high and low setting rather than any difference in the cut. This is also explained in the short DVD that I found to be very helpful. (Much more so than the manual) Although, the DVD went through the different breed styles a bit too quickly and would’ve liked to see the breeds in the title menu instead of just the poodle.

In all, I would recommend this for someone who is wanting to cut hair on a small animal. It’s suitable for thick hair, but not long jobs. It would probably be a good idea to keep up with small and short hair cuts rather than do one big job. Those with little experience are provided with good resources in the kit, if you utilize it. It’s a very decent clipper for the price and I like all the extra bits in the kit.

Here’s a big question on the kit though, what on earth is that hand mirror for? (Stuck that in my purse for me (: )

I have 4 labs and right before summer I trim down their hair (it gets VERY hot here in far Northern California like 116f); to help keep them cool when we go out to the lake. Other clippers have a nearly impossible time getting into the undercoat especially with my two pedigree labs. I bought these because of the price and they are made in the USA. My previous clippers fried in the middle of trimming my lab.

I trimmed another lab with these in a fraction of the time, it malted through that under coat thats like chinchilla fur. The motor is very strong. All the metal fittings are heavy duty and very solid. The blades are SUPER sharp and are self sharpening! yay! The body of the clippers is half metal half plastic – it is somewhat heavy, so for prolonged holding your wrist will start barking ;D It came with sizes that attach 1/8″, 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″ and their made of the good thick long lasting plastic.

The only time it ever had any issues was when I was shaving way too fast and the undercoat bound them up but it quickly recovers and continues.

The bad: There’s only 1 issue I have with these – the motor is of a higher torque variety and gets HOT – VERY HOT. After about 30 min non stop running the clippers body can be too hot to hold – yeah that hot. Be prepared to give it a 10 min break once it gets pretty hot like this but its not an issue until you’ve been trimming for a long time. I know the motor in these are the inductor type and heat is the nature of the beast – but they last almost forever.

Conclusion: I would absolutely buy again. On Labrador’s (or other retrievers) the 3/8″ is a great size for their whole body and the 1/2″ to fade it up to the top of their head and around cheeks. The cut is super clean and consistent. These are better than the trimmers that gets used on me – think what they have at a Barber’s shop – their similar to that quality. It comes with oil and a brush. After about an hour or hour and a half of use remember to brush out and apply a small dollop of oil on the edge of the blades to keep them in good shape and you’ll have an easy time. I would buy it again!

I recently purchased the WAHL Pet-Pro Dog Grooming Clipper Kit, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision! The precision, self-sharpening blades glide effortlessly through my dog’s fur, making grooming quick and easy. The Power Drive cutting system handles even the thickest hair with ease, which is a game changer for my pup’s coat.

While the clipper is corded, I find that the long power cord gives me plenty of flexibility to move around without being tethered to a wall. The added power ensures that I can groom without interruptions, and I don’t have to worry about running out of battery mid-grooming session.

This kit has everything I need—scissors, guide combs, a blade guard, and even a cleaning brush! The instructional DVD is also a great touch for those who might be new to grooming. Overall, the WAHL Pet-Pro Clipper Kit delivers professional-quality grooming at home, making it a fantastic investment for any pet owner!

Our long haired cat is prone to getting matts and absolutely hates scissors. Bought these and they’re quiet enough to not scare him. Cut right through, no issue.

I’ve been cutting my own dogs’ hair for years using battery power. Tired of replacing them from the battery wearing out, I bought corded knowing Wahl is a top name. I’ve been woefully disappointed. The clippers overheat after about 5 minutes of use indicating that there is a clear wiring and engineering issue. We have to let them cool for a hour before continuing. The zero shave worked well enough for a quick buz cut but when using the plastic attachments, the cut is garbage, pulling and creating a splotchy look. I had to give the dog a full buz cut and I still couldn’t finish because of overheating. If recent reviews are to be believed (and I would after trying this product), these clippers will fail over the next few uses altogether. I’m returning it immediately. Clearly this product quality has decreased from reviews over the last few years. Wahl should discontinue it to save face.

Se calienta un poco después del uso prolongado pero dejándola descansar tantito como si nada
Eso si, es algo pesada pero yo que tengo 3 cachorros es súper funcional, el ruido es algo que no puedo evitar pero después de un ratito logran acostumbrarse
