I used this product for fixing small spots in my lawn,it worked okay for that, but when I tried using it on a big area of about 400 square feet, it got really hard. The soil kept getting stuck in it, and it was tiring to use. I think if you’re just fixing a few patches, it’s okay, but for bigger jobs, it’s better to get a rolling aerator. That way, you won’t get tired as quickly, and it’ll be easier to use on larger areas.

Bought this instead of trying to do a “real” aerator. It works ok. My yard is in pretty sad shape so it is taking a lot of work to try getting it back in any shape. This does poke holes in the dirt which is what it’s supposed to do. It’s pretty small is my only complaint. I’d have looked for one that covers more area if I were to do it again. But this does what it is supposed to and pretty simply.

Stevig en degelijk product. Ik gebruik het voor een gazon van ongeveer 30m2 en ben dan een goed half uur bezig. Het is een mooi systeem om een paar keer per seizoen te beluchten.
Het heeft massieve spikes, hierdoor zijn de gaten weer redelijk snel dicht. Persoonlijk vindt ik holle spikes beter omdat de gaten veel langer open blijven, maar is fysiek veel zwaarder in gebruik.

Product arrived as noted. Easy to assemble. Exactly as shown and described. Area where shoe fits is approximately 5 1/2 inches wide. Plenty of room for my Skechers size 10 relaxed fit.

I use it to ‘open up’ the backyard turf that tends to get matted down by foot traffic and since that is not a terribly large area, this works fine for that.
this product really breaks up surface tension more than it aerates but that’s fine throughout the summer. one good thing about this is that you can use it during the hotter summer months, if you want, where a core aeration is not appropriate. ( I still get a core aeration in the early spring and in the fall.)
core aeration is better than spike aeration but spike aeration is better than no aeration.

The tool works great. It’s ready to use right out of the box. There is nothing to put together. It’s really easy to use . It goes into the ground with no trouble at all. I didn’t even have to use my foot. I like it and I’m glad I got this one.
