Great little bird feeder, as described. Squirrels will be sad for you to put up this feeder, it works really well to keep them away bay.
Easy to fill, in general, but the hole is a little small for the size of the feeder. the entire top does not come off, only the middle of the top, if you can look at the pictures. Still not too difficult to fill.
I like the colour and the material feels nice and solid.
It’s a little on the small side, the pictures show it well.
I would recommend this feeder to anyone.

This bird feeder does as advertised in that squirrels have a hard time in trying to get to the seeds. They will hang on it, but their weight shuts off access to the feeder. Plus it looks upscale (IMHO). Update since last reviewed. I have another bird feeder close to it, but have observed birds like this product over the larger feeder. Not sure if it because of the color, but it gets more activity than the other squirrel proof feeder. This product could be greatly improved by adding a lightweight seed catcher under it. Birds are picky eaters and like to sort through the seeds for their favorite treat. Unfortunately this creates a mess below and attracts mice. This is the same feedback for other products on the market. I have a seed catcher i used on an older feeder and it worked until that feeder eventually wore out. Its replacement was too sensitive to the weight of the catcher thus closing the feed slots as it pulled down the cage. The same goes for this model; hence the recommendation to add a seed catcher. Thanks!

I have tried MANY bird feeders and this is the best as far as keeping squirrels away. They cannot tip it to empty the seeds and they cannot open the top. My only complaint is that it seems like I am filling it very two days. Otherwise this is the best bird feeder.

The small songbirds in my area are loving this feeder so much they actual line up at times on my deck ledge waiting their turn to feed. I have only owned this for a short time, but it certainly has lived up to what others have said about this item. The squirrel guard mechanisms work very well. Some squirrels have tried and failed and then ran away. It is a nice design and appears very durable. It has already be subjected to some heavy rain and moderate wind and continues to work perfectly.

It’s a nice feeder, easy to fill too. But I’ve found that it’s not squirrel proof. They’re too smart for this feeder. If you have it hanging in a tree, which I do, they can get on the branch, pick up the feeder and manipulate it so that the seeds fall out. They are strong and smart and this feeder doesn’t outsmart them by any means. Better use a bird feeder hook away from a tree.

I purchased this bird feeder because it is supposed to keep squirrels from getting the bird seed however, we have mean little devils. My husband hung the feeder from a tree limb which I guess is not best idea. He went to add more bird seed and the metal bird perches were gone. He found a few on the ground and wired them back. Squirrels had got them off. Who would’ve thought. Also, this feeder will not support cardinals. I’ll have to look for a bigger one for them.

This is the first feeder that truly baffles the squirrels! The metal cage that pulls down when they hang on the feeder and the design of the feeding ports frustrate the squirrels until they give up. I have other squirrel “proof” feeders that either don’t pull down far enough so they can’t get at the seed or the ports are plastic and they just eat through. Only downside is I wish held more seed, but since squirrels are raiding haven’t had to fill as often. Highly recommend!
