Upon inspection of the device promptly after opening the box, I noticed a black substance jammed inside one of the plugs making it unusable. Shane, cause everything else worked well. But o really needed that specific cable.

If you do enough stuff with low-voltage, you quickly find that the variances of voltage requirement and the accompanying variety of transformers can get annoying! Some devices need 5V, some need 9V, and others need 12V or 15V… And what’s worse is that they often also have different plugs! Here’s a single solution.
Another benefit of a variable transformer is that it can be used to fine-tune for voltage drop over long runs. So if you have a device that requires 12V but it’s at the end of a 400′ cable run, then you can bump up the supply voltage to maybe 13-15V so that at the end of the run you get the 12V needed after compensating for voltage drop over the cable. Perfect.
This is a highly flexible and useful solution to multiple low-voltage uses.

The item works well. Disappointed in two directions. First this is a used product as the cable ties were loose in the box without being wrapped on the cords; and secondly the power cord is specified as being six (6) feet— alas it is 30”. So if that matters to you, as it does to me for this installation, beware. Otherwise a nice solid piece of kit.

I tested the polarity reverser with a multimeter to check if it was functioning correctly as one of the other reviews had an issue with it and it was incorrect on the one I received, it is simply an extension. If someone didn’t check this first and tried to use this for a center negative unit, it would potentially blow the unit. Otherwise the unit works as expected, I am not sure about the longevity of this item but it feels solidly built.
I knocked down a few stars as this problem needs to be rectified, this could damage people’s electronics if they don’t check before using it.

My one and only caveat is that the control knob is super sensitive, so trying to set a specific voltage may prove a slight challenge. I’m not removing any stars because it’s a course controll without fine tuning. It’s going to be that way no matter what kind of potentiometer is used.
It’s accurate to within a few mVDC. Due to the potentiometer setting voltage, there can be some voltage drifting beyond what may be experienced from the surrounding components’ temperature coefficients and electrical design method. Overall, for a small power supply, it does a decent job imho.
I like that it’s small and comes with a huge array of adapters. I can easily use it on a variety of projects.

The media could not be loaded.
At first it seem like it doesn’t work no number show up even when turn all the way up, but just give it like 10 seconds and it works, so far no issues.

So far the voltage generator seems pretty good. Down low the readout displays the voltage to the 100th of a volt and the readout matched my calibrated Fluke multimeter pretty reliably. When I got up to higher voltages (> 10V) the readout only displays the voltage to a 10th of a volt and fairly consistently displayed 0.2 volts less than my meter. For my projects, 0.2 volts less than I’m expecting at a voltage greater than 10 shouldn’t be a problem.
Down low it is fairly touchy, I was trying to dial it into 3.3 volts to see if I could use it to power an ESP, I eventually got there but it was tough… I’d also be concerned that a small bump could cause a spike and cause it to cook the ESP.
I haven’t tested it with any kind of load yet, but I’ll update the review if it has any problems when I do.

I needed this to resurrect an old laptop which needs 16V & 3.36A in a 5.5mm barrel plug, and this was the cheapest way of achieving it.
I set the output to 16V and then tested it with a multimeter and it agreed with the digital display of the unit.
One thing that was a little weird is that the converter plugs are labelled with letters, but are not arranged alphabetically. Instead they were arranged “A, D, H, D, B, E, F, G, H, L, I, S, A”. Plus, ‘S’ is micro USB, and ‘A’ is USB-C. And there isn’t one labelled ‘C’.
The two plugs marked ‘D’ are not the same. And I thought that the first 4 spelling out “ADHD” was ironic given that it was setting off my OCD.
As others have noted, the “polarity inverter” is wired straight through and is therefore actually a short extension lead.
Anyway, the unit works as advertised. I have no idea how long it will continue to do so and will update this review when I know more.

Tons of adaptors for all kinds of things including cell phones . ⚠️ do not use this as a replacement charger unless you are trained and know what you are doing.⚠️ Lipo batteries like in your cell phone can ⚠️explode and burn violently ⚠️if charged improperly. ⚠️
