This tank came well-packaged so it was not damaged, but it is very small – I have a very hard time believing that this is more than even one gallon. It does come with a decent amount of stuff, which is nice, but I chose not to use all of the tiny gravel and the large rocks because it would take up a large amount of space in the already small tank. The filter was a massive pain to figure out since it did not come with paper instructions- instead, if you want instructions, you need to download an app to supposedly be able to see how to put it all together. I downloaded the app and never could figure out how to access the instructions from it so I looked at the box and tried putting together various tubes and finally learned that one of them makes it too long so it can’t be used with that tube in place. After getting it all figured out, I plugged it in and it does work, but I am not using the filter at this time because I am using this for a quarantine tank for the future if I ever need it. The light clips on easily and works as well.
So if you want a small tank that comes with a fair amount of stuff, this isn’t a terrible tank. Just smaller than I was expecting.

First of all, Iβm not a teacher but I run a small aquatic business here in Maryland with my 11YO where we install tanks especially into classrooms in hopes of getting kids into fishes early! So in the subject line I say classroom approved and so let me tell you why.
This isnβt just a box of glass that you fill up and connect everything to. Itβs a tank that has a lot of built in features already making it an ideal tank for a classroom or office!! Behind the unit you will find your built in filtration so you donβt have to buy a hang on the back filter for this unit. That in itself gives you more space especially if youβre limited on space. The appearance of the unit accommodates any space including very limited space. You have the option of using the fish feeder that sits on top. Training kids how to properly feed fish is part of keeping them! The flow on the filtration system is not overbearing or so powerful you canβt keep fish because you can. The setup took us less than 10 minutes and so far for over a month its performance is beyond our expectations. The healthy fish are happy! The price for the unit is valid because you are getting things normally sold separately. The price actually saves you $$. This is 100% as advertised!

I ordered this tank because I thought it would make a great beta fish tank. You can’t fill it all the way up, but that is okay with me. Currently, I have several shrimp in it with a bunch of live plants making sure it can sustain life before adding a new beta fish to it. I like that the back is solid black, when combined with black substrate the plants and fish really stand out. <3
