If I had to guess, something over heated and melted on the internal PCB. I used this for 2x MTB rides and was very happy with the brightness. At the end of my second ride, the light was hot and the button wouldn’t turn the light off or change modes. The Indicator on the PCB was stuck on 4/5 charge dots as well. I pointed the light straight up on the bars and left it on the bike as it probably would have caught on fire if I put it in the car. I took the light apart after it died and did see the battery matched the spec (10,000 mah) and there wasn’t any “noticeable” pcb damage (burns, solder cracks). Regardless, the power button still wasn’t working.
I read in some other reviews that their old model was set to shut the light off if it over heated and the new models were supposed to dim the light if it over heated. This one did not do either function. I don’t really feel like diving into the pcb design on this light to make it work again and I’m outside of the “replacement window” time frame.
Soooo…ya, IDK…maybe I’ll go with a brand on the next one that knows how to design PCB boards with proper thermal management programming

The light is slightly heavy, but feels sturdy. It would be expected that a light with a 10,000MAH battery would have some weight to it. It is very bright. We will see how long the light operates on the first initial setting and how long the product lasts.

A few days after leaving my review I was contacted by the company and offered a full refund. I’m only writing this update now because I didn’t even notice their offer until a couple weeks later. They were that prompt. I can’t begin to relate how refreshing it is to have someone in customer service reach out to YOU proactively and really stand behind their product. This is how online commerce should work, unfortunately it almost never does. WSCXSC has the online equivalent to L.L. Bean customer service, and that’s high praise! Thanks so much Carrie!
When the headlight was working it was great. It (was) super bright with a nice even, wide beam even on it’s lowest setting and the mounting system worked really well with my bike. I’m writing this review Nov 21st ’23. I bought this light September 29th ’23 with plans on using it as the weather got colder and the days got shorter. I’m a road bike commuter with about a 45 minute trip in the morning and a 55 minute trip in the evening (more uphill in the evening), nothing crazy. All on nicely paved roads. I don’t do any mountain biking so this light gets little to no “abuse” whatsoever. I really only started using it in earnest these past couple weeks after the time change. I used it in flash mode in the morning and cycled between low and high in the evening depending on the roads I take. Last week on my ride home (on a perfectly smooth road) the light simply cut out all of the sudden. It’s no fun when you’re moving along at about 20mph and you instantly lose the road in front of you. Luckily it happened on a long and flat straightaway and clicking the button turned the light back on right away. I thought, “that was weird, I must have nudged the button with my glove or something”. Then last night on my way home after about 20 minutes the light cut out again. This time though there was no turning it back on. Examining the light on the side of the road and the small blue charge light indicators are all lit up (and they shouldn’t be when it’s off) and nothing happens no matter how many times I click the on button. Nothing happens when I plug the light in and try to top off the charge either (I would always charge the light every night before going to bed so I started out each day with a fresh charge). Now it’s stuck permanently with the solid 4 blue charge status indicator lights lit up (until the battery runs out which would probably take a year). I’ve tried everything I can think of, leaving it plugged in overnight, holding down the power button for 30, 45, 60 seconds, swearing at it a little, all no dice. Maybe it’s a temperature thing that killed it, I’m in Connecticut and it’s in the 20’s/30’s in the mornings and 30’s/40’s/50’s in the evenings. Unfortunately now it’s a paperweight with 4 small blue pinpoint lights. And I’m 21 days past the return date. What a bummer.

I researched hundreds of handlebar lights and decided to take a chance on this one. I aggressively ride my fat bike on twisty turning wooded single tracks, at relatively high speeds. I initially picked this light due to the dual mounting system, low profile, aluminum shell, and affordability. I’ve got a history of breaking things that aren’t built durably or attached well enough. Super easy to install. Once attached, it’s extremely secure. No flex or bounce of any sort. It’s part of the bike. BRIGHT and the battery life lasts as long as I need it to. I’ve yet to run it out of battery with quite a few 1.5 and 2 hour run times under my belt with it. Low setting works well at dusk. High setting works awesome after dark. High/Low setting is really unnecessary, as it eats more energy without any noticeable ROI as compared to standard High setting. Blink setting works fine for letting others know I’m coming during sunlit hours, but not really used after dusk. The taillight that came with it was a nice bonus, but pretty standard for a light little taillight. Side-by-side comparison with $300 lights, it matches performance, or performs better. I don’t regret my purchase, as long as it continues to work. At this time, I would recommend this light to anyone. The only thing that could make this light better would be to incorporate a similar quality helmet light.
