This keyboard is small, fun to play on, and is very easy to take with you anymore. It is lightweight and plays very nicely. For a budget and started keyboard, I highly recommend !!! Not to small not to big, it does not have weighted keys, but it works and you are getting what you payed for. It also has many modes, and adapts to whatever you need to play.

I bought this for my grandsons 7th birthday and he loves it. Plays music & sounds great. Was definitely a hit at his party for all the other kids too.

I have not been able to tear my son from this keyboard since I gave it to him, definitely teenager approved!! I can’t speak from the aspect of a complete beginner as we are a musical family… But this is his first time trying any keyboard/piano, and it’s very user friendly in teaching you what notes correspond in the pre-recorded songs so that you can learn those full songs. And you have the ability to slow them down to learn at your own tempo before playing along at normal speed. For a complete beginner in music, I would suggest a music book for keyboards and a strip of the note guides that lay over the keys.
This keyboard is absolutely compatible with headphones, you have to choose headphones meant for keyboards (stereo headphones, with 40 mm jack). I thought I would mention it because it appears some first-timers posted reviews of it not being headphone compatible.
