The phone seems to work well but I had to order it from another company because it took so long to arrive.
When it finally arrived I had to return it unused and they charged me a restocking fee.
    DON’T BELEIVE FREE RETURN !

I bought this to replace a Snom M3 system. The Yealink W56P has a very nice interface and unlike the Snom system the DECT base is POE so mounting is easier (only one wire to run). I have this connected into a Asterisk system and the audio is excellent. Both the handset earpiece and speaker phone- its no Polycom Soundstation in that regard but it does have more low end frequency presence than the M3 handsets.

One thing the Snom did that the Yealink does not is show how many vmail messages I have that are NOT new. New messages are picked up just fine but after you have read them, you’ll have to check your voicemail manually to know how many read message are there. That’s a minor detail for me but others it might be important- it also might be a setting I missed for the Yealink but I don’t think so.

The other somewhat annoying thing is that while the keypad is backlit, the other 6 “control buttons” are not. One of the reasons for replacing the Snom system was the handsets were not backlit so for Yealink to not backlight all the keys, I’m taking a star.

Directions from ring central a little Misleading, but nothing to do with the phone itself. Phone itself works fine.

Before switching to this system we were using analog vtech cordless phones with a Cisco PAP2T analog adapter for about 6 years. Been using the Yealink YEA-W56P system for a couple of months and I’m very satisfied with it. The sound quality is good; our customers can hear us much better than they could on our vtech phones. The battery life has been excellent. We have a low call volume business and get about 2 weeks out of a fully charged handset. We’re using the system with RingCentral. I found the review by Hesk really helpful, but I still had difficulty with the initial setup because the Yealink web interface uses the word ‘Register Name’ and Ringcentral calls that the ‘Authorization ID’. Once I got the data into the correct fields it worked immediately.

I don’t like that it can only handle two calls at a time. If you put a call on hold to answer another call and want to go back to the first call to transfer it to another handset you can’t. The only option is to connect the two calls, which in our case would be two customers so that isn’t useful. It would be more efficient if it didn’t see calling/transferring to another handset as a third call.

The most difficult transitions from the analog system to this one is the transferring of calls. With the analog I could put a call on hold and any handset could pick it up. With this system you have to transfer the call to a handset before they can be on with the caller, then if they need to send the caller back to you they have to transfer it instead of just placing it on hold. It’s been difficult for some people to learn how to work/understand the transfer vs hold so they end up just walking their handset back to me to finish the call.

Overall I like the system. I would recommend it and I would purchase it again.

Did not work. Was not in “like new” condition. Screen was scratched and chipped.
Company makes extremely difficult to return and poor customer service.

Buy from another seller this one did not list description properly and makes retuning difficult.

I am still trying to return it now.
