Yin & Yang Nutrition: Maximizing Health Description
Why should you prepare food for your pets? It’s simple. The pet food industry has let you down. You have depended on them to provide wholesome nutrition to keep your pets healthy. They advertise ingredients as holistic, natural, and human grade; in reality, ingredients are often waste products from the human food industry or rendered meals from diseased animal carcasses. The pet food industry has spent millions of advertising and teaching dollars to convince veterinarians and the pet-owning public that the only way to provide a complete diet is to feed processed industrial food.
Unfortunately, since the advent of processed food for pets, the pandemic of degenerative health problems has escalated in dogs and cats. Veterinarians continually treat inflammatory and degenerative diseases, yet they fail to see any correlation between the highly processed diets and disease. The profession has been talked into believing that industrial food cannot possibly be a causative factor in disease. In fact, they have been taught by the major pet food companies that the only way to treat chronic disease is to prescribe more processed industrialized foods.
Dr. Judy Morgan has a passion for healing her patients with whole foods, minimizing medications and chemicals, allowing the body to heal from within. In this book she explains, in understandable language, how to utilize Traditional Chinese Medicine food therapy to keep your dog naturally healthy. Making food for your dog doesn’t have to be complicated; it can cost less than buying prescription diets and medications to treat disease. The path to good health is good nutrition. Show your dog some love with a home cooked meal!

A mi perro le encanto la receta principal y desde que come eso, no se ha enfermado del estomago, la dieta es muy balanceada, lo recompiendo definitivamente!

This book has excellent recipes if your dog has a medical issue. However, nothing in there for a healthy dog. I returned it, but will keep it in mind for the future should something change, and my dog needs a special diet.

I bought this book because I have a dog with Mitral valve disease and food can really help with this disease.

We bought this because we wanted healthier for our animals, and some health issues we’ve had with our animals. Bought another for my mother. so many great references for food based off of different illnesses your animal maybe having. By no means though is this a substitute for a vet, but definitely a great alternative to processed foods.

Very good but could use some more practical information on how to use the slow cooker for prep, and certain common ailments diet aids.

This book is not only a good one… it’s an excellent book to start feeding your dog without kibbles!

We have raised all our dogs over the past 20 years holistically. For the past 9 plus years we have been raw feeding, fresh and gently cooked foods to our Keysha, Struga & Willow and Kitty Riley Blue. There is so much we could say about this book but will keep it short. It is well thought out and simplified for the beginner who is looking to better their dog’s health by feeding them fresh, healthy foods as well as giving those who are seasoned veterans new and fresh ideas. There is a wonderful variety of menu foods available at your disposal within this book with well thought out explanations as to why the ingredients are healthy and beneficial for the dog. The photos speak volumes alone giving the reader examples of what good, healthy foods there are available to prepare for our dogs. As we like to say, “we prepare foods for our family, are not our dogs part of our family too?”
