Great rod and reel for the price. I just started fishing from a kayak and the simplicity of this reel helps. Can fit it anywhere. It’s a little hesitant when reeling, especially with a bigger fish. Reel rate is a little low but for the price and convenience you can’t beat it. Great for kids to step up to as they grow. The rod is awesome. Nice action and telescoping feature is well worth the price.

Die Rute an sich ist ok aber die Rolle ist Mist. Es fängt mit der Lagerung an und hört bei den Mitnehmern auf. Diese beschädigen, nach 10x Auswerfen, die Schnur so extrem, sodass ein Abriss vorprogrammiert ist. Lieber eine stationäre Rolle nutzen!

This little fishing rod and reel is amazing for impromptu fishing, or while camping! No issues so far with it and have used it dozens of times already. I plan on buying another to keep with my SHTF gear since it’s so compact and reliable; and keeping this one with my normal fishing gear. The perfect sidekick pole for using two poles during the normal fishing seasons.
Have always loved Zebco’s products, and even though I MUCH prefer the older products before they changed manufacturing and sourcing materials, the newer ones still match up with the big brands. BTW, if you’re a history buff, you’ll love looking into the history of Zebco from their inception.

My fly got hung up and upon trying to free the fly, neither the 6lb line, 4lb leader or the knot failed but the rod itself snapped in half and slid down the line. The leader knot eventually failed and the top three segments got taken away by the current. Big bummer on day 2/5 of a backpacking fish-for-food trip. The reel had about 20 casts on it when the rod broke – it seemed to work well until it became dead pack weight.

Like the small size and storability of this. You won’t land a big fish but will enjoy the feel of it!

The plastic end cap that’s supposed to hold it together doesn’t fit correctly.

I have used for the first 2 days of fishing season here in Ireland on the local river . It was flawless . The only gripe i have is the 10lb line it came with . It had to be stretched for a few hours to get rid of the memory + twists . With that done it is now a perfect take anywhere setup that doesn’t take up much space and casts well

To Confidence setup for a year still using orig reel. Reel is strong and has been reliable this whole time good line to. Would recommend if you’re looking for a compact throw and go setup it won’t let ya down or break the bank!!

Rod is easy and fun to use. Used it on a 5 day canoe trip on the Yukon River. After a few days, the last telescoping piece would not collapse and when I tried using a little extra force, the piece broke off. So now I have a 5 foot Zebco 33! No big deal. The telecast reel works really well, runs very smoothly , and it easily caught a few Artic Graylings on the Klondike / Yukon convergence! I still prefer this type of reel for its ease and speed of casting over the standard ones which take a bit more effort.
