About half of the box I ordered was just root structure with no green on it. The product itself is great and I’ve used it for years but this is my first time buying the larger box and I am disappointed. Might’ve just gotten a wonky box. If it had all been moss, it would’ve been 5 stars.

First off, I love the smell when I wash the moss the first to the last time. It smells so clean every time. I can deal with a couple of incidental sticks, leaves or pine cones…that’s nature! This moss helps my Geckos to shed by increasing the humidity in their cages. I have a humidifier and I mist them. It’s so easy to tell by the color change of the moss when to “add more water”. I’ve been buying this same brand for almost 3 years since I got my first Gecko. I tried other brands and mosses but I’ve always come back to Zoo Med’s Terrarium Moss but in larger quantities. I can use the same moss over and over. You can tell when its time to break out the new stuff. The packing is great and the shipping was fast!

I bought this to use for crafts mainly, and some in an aquarium. It’s a lot of moss – I needed two 1 gallon bags to contain it. It comes boxed but a little would litter the table. Very few tiny twigs and I’m sure reptiles would find it comfy.

I loved this for my small box turtle! This was exactly what I needed to make his enclosure come together! The only dislike is that the moss was falling out of the box it came in and made quite a mess, but other than that, quality and quantity was great!

I bought this moss so my leopard gecko could have something to walk/lay on rather than just his reptile tank carpet and he loves it. I just have it in patches so he can choose between carpet and moss. The moss arrived on time, package look great, moss looked and smelled great and everything about it was great! I’ve seen a few people say that there’s twigs and dirt and sometimes bugs, but I think what people forget is that this is actual moss, it had to grow and bugs just appear sometimes, and there’s twigs because… it had to grow. Other then that, great product. Gives you lots of moss!

Here we go: it’s a box of moss. There were also some sticks, although I did not order any sticks, I have plenty of sticks, thank you, and I’ll ask you to keep yourself out of my personal affairs! When you wet this moss down, it provides humidity as the water evaporates in enclosed environments, such as fish tanks housing reptiles and amphibians. I will note, however, and for whatever record is being made here today, that it does an excellent job on my 55-gallon tank and keeping the humidity up during the winter months and the heater is on.
