Easy to set up, everything came in good condition, the size can hold like a tarantula, or a small lizard. Using for a temp toad enclosure. It is a good size, and sturdy.

With nearly 4 decades of experience keeping & breeding reptiles (mostly snakes, but various lizards too), & other things such as tarantulas, spiders & scorpions, I’ve never once bought a “starter kit” (they weren’t available when I got started, & once I was an experienced keeper, it was preferable to buy things “a la carte” to get exactly what I needed). But having said that, this is a very nice & sturdy set-up for keeping many small creatures, with one exception: many small hatchling snakes (such as the very popular & slender corn snakes, or tiny king snakes, & others) could escape this. This is very well-made & secure, except for the gaps left on either side of the top mesh lid intended for “cords”. They’ve included a rubber plug for each side, but they slide over just enough that a tiny snake could (& likely would) escape. The unfilled gap is 3/8″ x 7/16″, & with the rubber plug in use but pushed over to one side, the gap is less than 1/4″- it’s about 3/16″- but believe it or not, I’ve had young hatchling snakes escape a gap that size. So that’s my only criticism here- snakes climb very well, especially when left alone overnight or most of the day, with nothing better to do than look for a way out, & they’re much better at “hide & seek” than we are- ask me how I know. You do need to consider the size of this terrarium for whatever you’re trying to keep- many creatures, such as a bearded dragon, will outgrow this, & faster than you might think, but if you’re anything like me, that just means that when the first creature needs their home to be sized up, then this smaller, original home is ready for a new pet, or it can be used as a temporary holding tank for when you need to clean their larger terrarium. Reptiles & other small creatures can be habit forming, especially since they’re quiet & don’t require all the exercise & attention that dogs, cats & birds do. Watching them is at least half the fun, & you can do that easily with this terrarium, but just keep in mind that to do well, many creatures also need some privacy, which you can provide for with hides & other furnishings. I’m impressed that this came complete with a nice light, a temperature & humidity gauge, tweezers, hammock, spray bottle, food bowl, & hide. Also included are the small clips & tool to secure the top to the bottom, if needed. All in all, a very nice package deal to get started.

This is a really nice looking tank, it is so clear that it looks like glass in person. The mesh lid on the top feels very secure and looks well designed, the whole thing is put together with very little needing to be done. The accessories are thoughtful, though the net hammock is way too large for the tank and I am not quite sure what the intention of it was, possibly to use this as a temporary tank and to use the hammock in a larger tank perhaps?
Unfortunately, I was missing the bulb for the lamp… Instead, I received two of the hide caves instead. The hides do look really nice though, so I am not too bothered by it- I’m sure I can find another bulb or just use a different lamp. The lamp doesn’t have any clear spot meant to clip it, if you look at the product pictures, it is shown as just standing on the lid which I didn’t realize at first. I will probably use a different light for it, but everything else is great. I plan on using this for velvet ants and blue death feigning beetles!

The setup for this tank is cool, I like the size and everything that comes with it. But, where is the light suppose to clamp? It doesn’t.
And the biggest problem here is access to the tank, the hinges door does not stay open to get in there and the top has to be permanently fastemes closed. Makes it hard to get into the tank to do anything. I love the concept, but these need to be addressed first.
