now the 4070 is clearly better than the 3070 but i had both cards from zotac and the 3070 needed 2x8pins and was wider than most 3070 cards but was also short. this bpr of the 4070 is at the normal gpu width and only needs 1x 8 pin to run, and you get 12gb of vram vs the 8 gb of vram now i can play the dumpster fire of games that need 8gb+ of vram to run, for the 500+ bucks i got the 4070 for it was worth the money and it will last me a long while and with dlss3 if games need more fps i can use Ai scaling from it, but i dont think ill need to do that anytime soon

Works great. Getting over 150 fps average on most games. Very fast and GPU temperatures around 50 – 60 C on graphic intensive games like Squad and Far Cry 6 with 1080p resolution. This is more than double the speed compared to my old RX 570 GPU. If you are thinking of upgrading don’t hesitate in getting this as the newer games will be demanding more GPU power in the future. RTX 4070 will be good for the next 5 years imho.

little overpriced but ray tracing performance is huge card can also handle games in 4k with some graphics tweaks im very happy with my purchase. My only issue is nvidia drivers are so unreliable idk if the driver is gonna give me a 30fps boost or make everygame crash and run like doggy doo doo. NVidia fix ur drivers please other than that its a decent card

Great performance. With DLSS3 you can tame cyberpunk, a very demanding game. The price plus taxes pushes this card towards the unaffordable side of the scale unfortunately. Otherwise get it when it’s on sale
If you’re a streamer on a budget, this is the way to go.

This GPU is paired with a i5-13400f and 128 GB DDr5 5200 to make it zing! You don’t need much more power in gpu cause this is enough to play any game made! 12 GB of decated Ram is enough when mixed with my PC memory and my cpu. Almost like the perfect couple that should be around for years and years ๐

We all know NVIDIA completely blew it this generation. The pricing is simply preposterous, to use a charitable term. Every product in 40 series so far is priced as if it is one or two tiers above its actual capabilities.
Basically, what I’m saying here is that by buying this RTX 4070, I spent what should have been 4080 worth of money to buy what should correctly be tagged as 4060 Ti performance, at best. So, I am two tiers off the mark here… Horrible gouging on NVIDIA part. DLSS3 is not an excuse.
The reason why I had to do this is that I had RTX 2060 to replace and RTX 4060 is completely useless for the cost. So, there was literally no other option than 4070, as even 4060 Ti raw performance increase over 2060 Super and 3060 Ti is criminally undercut (128-bit bus on CAD$ 550 before-tax card in 2023? Please…) NVIDIA forced me to go to XX70 tier card as everything under it is useless. Not a way to have a happy customer.
As for this ZOTAC RTX 4070 specifically, it had a good price relatively speaking, hence the second star for value. It would have to be solid 1-star, but ZOTAC had lower than CAD$ 800 price which was unique, so kudos to ZOTAC for that.
The card has two fans and 8-pin power connector, so it’s all the deal-breakers avoided for me: I don’t do three fans, will avoid silly RGB if at all possible and don’t like power connectors that burn my house down. The performance is satisfactory, as long as you can forget the price. Value for money is abysmal, but it’s not the third-party manufacturers fault, this one is purely on NVIDIA. ZOTAC snuck that discount in to make it at least seemingly palatable.
The card effectively either doubled my framerate at the same settings as before, or enabled me to play pretty much everything I care about at Ultra settings, at 90 to 120+ fps on 1440p. Personally, I will not allow framerate below 90 fps. It the game can’t make that, I start lowering settings. DLSS “software cheat” helps when it is supported, but most of the games don’t have it. As expected, this card is a great partner with Odyssey G7 under G-Sync regime. The rest of machine is Intel 12400 and 16GB DDR4.
Even though I am satisfied with the performance, I am still angry I had to pay this much for a video card. That is why NVIDIA will not see me until at least gen 70, and probably longer. I don’t print money.
Keeping an eye on AMD.
Update – January 2024:
4070 SUPER, with those specs and at that price? Really NVIDIA? Really? I have words for you.
Thanks for proving my point. Lots of good will it do me…

Upgraded from a GTX 1060 so pretty massive deal, didnโt want to spend the money on the RTX4090 and tbh didnโt have room in my case, got it at a decent time but probably overspent ($700) it works okay but I donโt see much difference (yes my monitors are sufficient and my graphics settings are correct)

Gonna preference this with the fact that zotac (in my opinion) had a hiccup when it came to design and performance of their gpus and gpu controller software i.e. firestorm, but with the 40 series they seem to have fixed all of those issues. I put this gpu into a pc to sell, and from what I’ve used to test the pc, the gpu works great. The GPU controller software, is smooth as butter now whereas before it was basically unusable. I have it paired with a 5800x and 32gb of ram clocked at 3600 mhz with xmp and it runs flawlessly, no hiccups. A little pricey in this market, but zotac usually sells their gpus at the cheapest rate on the market, so that just means 4070s are still relatively expensive overall.
