ZUGU CASE iPad Air 13 Inch Protective Case

This is a great, sturdy product. My apple pen fits perfectly on the side and it never falls out. Much better design than the Otterbox I used previously.

If you have stumbled upon this particular iPad case in your search for the best case for your 12.9” iPad Pro, I INSIST that you look no further. This is coming from someone who already wasted $100 on other cases in search for the best one and I wish I hadn’t and had found this first. It is perfect in every way. It is slim, sleek, sturdy, stylish and any other adjective starting with S that you can think of LOL. No but really it gets the job done. The magnets are very strong and one feature I really wanted from my case is to be able to attach it to car magnets so I can use it for navigation as pictured and this can do that too! If you have the right car magnets it won’t budge. So now my Honda Civic has been upgraded to a Tesla. Another feature that is personally a requirement for me is the front pocket for your Apple Pencil. Although they swear up and down that keeping it connected to your iPad 24/7 won’t damage it, I still don’t like the idea of having it charging all the time. For this reason the separate pocket is perfect. Then there’s the 10 angled stand. This literally has the perfect viewing angle for any place you could possibly want to sit. Whether it’s at a desk to type or draw, or on your bed to watch a movie. It sits perfectly upright with no help on your lap over your blankets. I’ve had one of those fold over stand cases which I would have to prop on a pillow to get it to stay but this is good in its own. Apparently, I could go on about this case forever. Please don’t waste anymore time and money. This case is literally worth every penny no exaggeration.

This is easily one of the best iPad cases I have ever used (and I used to review iPad cases for a living).

I ordered the Alpha Case for my 4th Gen iPad Pro to replace the flimsy magnetic cover I got from Apple. I wanted something sturdy that still looked good and wasn’t too thick so I could still take advantage of the iPad’s slim profile. What I ended up getting far exceeded my expectations for a product that is relatively inexpensive compared to other “premium” iPad cases.

You “snap” your iPad into the case, wrapping it in a rigid rubber frame that protects it from drops and bumps. It might not save your iPad if you regularly toss it around, but the rubber frame does protect the sides of the iPad from most minor impacts or from getting scratched up. The inside of the cover is very soft and features the company logo and can be used to sleep or wake the iPad like Apple’s own magnetic covers. It’ll do a good job of protecting your screen but you might want to also get a screen protector in case any bits of debris get between the cover and the iPad screen.

The outside and overall design of this case scream “premium”: The leather exterior is pleasant to look at and hold while also providing extra protection to the front and back of the device. The back of the case has a magnetic kickstand which you can adjust to multiple viewing angles but I find it works best when on a stable and steady surface like a table or desk and doesn’t work as well if you are balancing your iPad on your lap or chest (for those of us that like using our iPad in bed). You’ll find a place to slot your Gen 2 Apple Pencil while charging along the side of the case and there is a small pocket on the back of the case next to the kickstand where you can store your Pencil when you aren’t charging it. I personally leave mine charging when not in use and haven’t run into any problems with the Pencil falling out of the slot while still remaining easily accessible.

The case feels very well made and has held up well under daily use thus far. My one (minor) complaint about the case is that it makes it slightly easier to accidentally put your iPad to sleep when holding it in landscape. It doesn’t happen every single time but it happens often enough to notice so you might need to adjust where you hold the iPad from in order to not trigger it. It is a small annoyance that easily is overshadowed by the benefits of the case.

If you’ve been looking for a case to protect your iPad while also keeping most of its aesthetics then this case is for you. I would choose this case over most other premium options available and would recommend it to anyone looking for a general, all around balanced case for their tablet.

This is the best case I’ve ever had and I have had a lot of cases for several of my iPads in the last decade. The outside of the case is very sleek and durable. It has a place for a stylus on the top of the case or in a little pocket on the back of the case. The stand part of the case isn’t like many cases where it’s in the front of the screen with several levels. At first I thought it was weird but in actuality it’s really genius. It folds backwards with several levels to put it on, but they are magnetic in the crease so wherever you put it, it is sticking in place. I absolutely love it and is worth every penny. Will continue to order these cases for further iPads!

This my second ZUGU protective cover. The first was for my iPad, the one being reviewed is for my 13 inch iPad Air. Yes, it’s more expensive but it’s a good value. The ease of use setting the angle of the screen is the one of the best features of this cover. Its ability to stick on a metallic surface like a metal refrigerator door is areal benefit. It is extremely sturdy and well made not flimsy like some of its competitors The Apple Pencil holder is well designed. The only negative is it is heavier then some its competitors. It’s excellent drop protection and sturdiness are the reasons for the extra weight.
