When I first got my cockatiels the previous owners had them on an all-seed diet. For the health of my birds, I switched them to this feed because of the ingredients and the included vitamins and minerals. After slowly introducing it by adding small amounts to the seeds, they started to eat both feeds and fully transitioned to this fruity feed within a few weeks. They’ve been on this feed for 6 years now and they look and feel great! The price is great. Each bag lasts my two birds about 3 months.

These are the only pellets the Meyer’s parrot will eat. Of course he gets fresh fruit and vegetables, and isn’t picky when it comes to those. Any other pellet goes straight to the bottom of the cage. The price here is a couple dollars cheaper than the pet store, and I don’t have to drive 20 miles to pick it up.

Make sure you’re not feeding your parakeets only seeds. ITS SO BAD FOR THEM!! Hormonal imbalances, overgrown beak and nails. Have this with chopped up veggies or a veggie mix with chopped up fruit. FRESH!!

My husband says our lovebird looks like an aligator when he goes after these pellets. He loves them and has less wasted food than with other brands. They smell kind of like froot loops, so my dogs are always hoping that the bird will drop a few for them to share (and of course he does).
