I’ve been a pro dj/host/mc my whole life. This is a must have. Shure quality, on off switch, great sound. What else do you need. I use it when I Dj smaller bars, when I’m just an event mc, even for my podcast. It’s all around the best/most versatile mic. Solid cable connection, robust guard, and a great weight in your hand. Get one to keep in your bag, it is an invaluable backup.

This thing is built like a tank and performs well for the price. Just like it’s more expensive cousin (the SM58), it is solidly made. Spoken word is crisp and clear and if you’re using it for that, it’s wonderful. For performance vocals, it falls a bit flat but is still a viable cheap option for a durable beater mic. It’s not winning any awards for frequency response, but at this price point, I would not expect it to. Signal strength is a little low, but within the ballpark of other dynamic mics I have. Overall, for a budget microphone that will last on the road, this is a great option for the price.

Had a PG 48, was told to get a SM58 and decided I do what I want. Glad I did. Paid less and I think it sounds as good if not better than the SM58. My vocals come through the mix clean and clear everywhere we play. No matter what kind of PA is being used the house engineers almost always come and compliment me on this mic. Best one I’ve had in a while…
