I have a heavy use profile for my tripod and equipment. Lots of movement and stress on the connection. I found the originals work well and the knock offs are inferior and perhaps dangerous to the equipment. They come loose easily and the Manfrotto stays tight longer and more reliably. Repeat purchase as they do wear out after a reasonably long time.

This quick release plate is really strong and it locks up really tight in my tripod head. I own several of them now and use them quite often. I’ve never had a problem with them and I’m very happy with them. Highly recommend!

The QD plate served its purpose. It fit pretty well on my 488rc2 ballhead. I use my tripod with a H.O.G. saddle for shooting, and the QD plate is pretty nice to have. The only issue that I had was the little rubber piece on top still allowed for a good amount of movement even when the ball-head was clamped down. But like I said, I am using it for a shooting rest not a camera so I ended up tearing the rubber off and filling the little indent of where it was placed with a filler and it works perfectly for me now. However I am sure for just simple photography work this would perfect for all of your needs.

This Manfrotto quick release plate fits my 234RC head perfectly. The quality is excellent, just as it always has been with Manfrotto products. While it is a bit pricey, it is totally worth it because I have other pieces of Manfrotto equipment to form a set. Supporting the original brand is important to me. I had a few off-brand quick release plates that claimed to be compatible, but they were not.
