I got this from my dad for Fatherโs Day and he loved it. I am also really impressed by it. It has a really nice look and feel to it. It looks more expensive than it is. The sound quality was great. The battery seems to last a long time. I didnโt have any problems connecting it via Bluetooth. I really donโt have anything bad to say about it.

I bought this to jam along with my guitar and listen to Tunes in the shower. I was concerned I couldn’t find a small speaker that would be loud enough to do both. I searched through the various amazon offerings and reviews and no one quite described whether a SMALL Bluetooth speaker had enough punch or Clarity and tone. It replaced an sound Works o o n t z & altec Lansing speaker which were marginally acceptable never gave enough feeble battery life and weak Bass. The Ortizan was loud enough to play along to a small practice amp and is very user friendly. While it does not have individual base tremolo or equalizer settings it definitely kicks out enough base mid-range clear tone for your shower rockstar audition. The Bluetooth connectivity is great and you can put an SD card in to listen to your own music list without concern of bluetooth connectivity or the annoying YouTube onslaught of commercials in between songs. One charge gives very impressive performance without recharging frequently. The gimmicky lights are amusing but not necessary and probably a drain on the battery versus augmenting battery life for music which is why I bought this speaker in the first place. I’ve put it outside by my pool & in my golf cart and it is plenty loud enough to piss off the neighbors. lol for the money it was a great value and I am pleased.

I’ve had this speaker for some time now and I am very happy with it. While I was fishing I accidentally bumped it into the fish bucket full of water and fish.. I can confidently say it IS water proof and buoyant! Great sound, great size, charge lasts long, great price!

The Ortizan Portable Bluetooth Speaker is an outstanding choice for both indoor and outdoor use. With IPX7 waterproofing, it can withstand splashes and rain, making it perfect for outdoor adventures. The 24W loud stereo sound delivers impressive audio quality, and the Bluetooth 5.0 ensures a stable connection up to 66ft. It boasts a 30-hour playtime, so I can enjoy music all day without needing a recharge. The dual pairing feature is fantastic for creating a surround sound experience. Highly recommended for its durability, sound quality, and long battery life!

Klare kaufenpfehlung !

So Iโm a pretty big audiophile with an extremely good ear but low budget. Iโm very picky about the balance of sound in speakers. This little speaker does a great job balancing treble, mid tones and bass. It offers a switch to change the ballence of these a bit for different types of music. I have very eclectic musical tastes varying from jazz, to new age, classic rock, heavy metal, and much more. This handles all types very well. Battery lasts a good long while but I have not timed it yet. Easy Bluetooth pairing. Overall a fantastic speaker a a great price. I have purchased a couple other speakers befor this and returned them due to flat sounds, or too heavy on treble, lack of midtones o nothing but base and bother else . This speaker also has a pretty good volume for the size. levelAre there better speakers definitely, but not much at the size and price point.

Excellent sound, great bass out of the two baffles on the side ends. Turn off the lights (dont need them) and the battery life is fantastic! went over 12 hrs of use without charging. Easy to connect and take with you anywhere you go. 100% would recommend.

Update 3: I am not doing “never ending updates” but just typing this to say that the issue STILL hasn’t come back. The one thing I have noticed is that i am getting NO WHERE NEAR the “30 hour playtime” … even 20 maybe pushing it. I am disappointed in that but overall … I dont mind the speaker. Something in my reviews I thought of mentioning is that while this speaker doesn’t sound as dynamic as others … a “more even sound … even if that means it lacks a ‘thump’ in the bass”… IS NOT always a bad thing … say my Tribit XSound Surf … listening to smooth jazz at night at low volumes … it has “too much” of a thump … this speaker not having that in my view … makes this one better in some cases …. same way with my DOSS Soundbox Touch having a similar sound (but better mids/highs i think)
Update 2: been a few days and “constant use” since the last update. The issue with no sound has NOT come up again yet … and while i forgot what i have rated the Oontz Angle 3 Ultra (3.5?) i may have to bump that up to 3.75 (not to get crazy with decimals) when i say this … but i’d give this a 3.5… yeah with certain genres it seems “flat” and lacking bass i’d like (I like a clean bass at best … not overly done, so i am no “bass head”) but other times my new favorites the Tribit XSound Gos have a “subwoofer like sound” (WHICH IS WHY it is my favorite … at times) but late at night at low volumes i wish i could turn that extra bass off … I BRING THAT UP due to the fact that THIS SPEAKER sort of has THAT type of sound. So with say easy listening, instrumental, and some jazz stuff in that exact situation … i DONT DISLIKE the Tribit … I just like the “lack of bass” (so to speak) more.
I cant remember if i recommended or didn’t recommend this in my original review.. to me now i’d say this is “ok” (even if that sound issue comes up where i have to play sound in a different app to get it back again, issue comes up) … you can do better “bang for buck” but … this is not terrible either.
Update 1: Ok after trying what another reviewer said and trying to reset the speaker (pressing power button and holding for at least 8 seconds) I got things to work again. I also couldnโt get any sound in Kodi with my local media but after opening up another app and playing audio fine in that, (same device), then going back to Kodi sound in there worked again. I cant explain what happened but as I said others are having this issue too, but someone mentioned this and it worked for me. Now I plan on sort of doing part of what I planned to in the original review,
I have a few other BT speaker, which include an Oontz Angle 3 Ultra, two Tribit Xsound Surfs, two Tribit Xsound Gos, a DOSS Soundbox Touch and a Braven BRV1BCB BRV-1.
Versus the Tribits:
– to me while I wish the Xsound Surf had better battery life (ONLY ADVERTISED at 10hr) โฆ I would still say either the Xsound Surf or the XSound GO are the better option. They are my favorites and just overall in the same price range โฆ they are just a better value and MUCH better sound.
Versus the DOSS Soundbox Touch:
– This is where it is interesting. I have not done an โA-vs-Bโ comparision head to head but out of all my speakers, this speaker sounds closest to this one. If I remember, the bass on the DOSS seems lower at lower volumes but while not like other speakers I have or a โSub wooferโ type sound. It gets more โpresentโ as the volume goes up. It sounds clear and balanced but not for โbass headsโ. I think the DOSS may sound better than this one, however its close โฆ I think this speakerโs tuning in the mids are a little off but like the DOSS Iโd say both of these speakers are a more โbalancedโ sound without a subwoofer like โthumpโ.
Versus the Oontz Angle 3 Ultra:
– note: I can only compare this to the Ultra model โฆ I hear that if you go down in Oontz models they donโt sound as good.
– This is where I wish I could take the extra bass in the Ultra and put it in the X10. The bass is there in the Ultra but while not muddy in MY VIEW. It CAN โlingerโ a bit. Where it slightly effects the low mids and mid-mids depending on the track. This I feel is exactly what the X10 here is MISSING, EVEN ON Bass Boost mode in the built in EQ.
– Build quality โ even if the Ultra is NOT my favorite speaker, I still totally recommend it and like itโฆ the build quality alone (not the only thing) blew me away, for the sub $40 price I paid for it.
Versus the Braven:
– I admit that I do not use this as much as I should. This was gifted to me by someone who had no use for it and .. .well I love this one. It has a decent thump in the bass but not overdone. From what I remember this sort of reminds me of a Tribit tuning โฆ a Good V-shaped sound but clean and not โforcedโ or overdone. (sound wise) โEverything is where it should beโ
Summary:
I still cant say I recommend this due to the problems I had BUT if its a โok this is a dumb fix to a problem that shouldnโt exist in the first placeโ (almost a James May quote) thing if I have the no sound issue againโฆ Ok โฆ I am ok with keeping this and I am not as โupsetโ (I donโt want to ham that up) about it.
The bottom line is (say the โ360 soundโ that is just fake marketing โฆ If it was โthis looks like a JBL Flip but this is not 360 sound .. it just LOOKS the sameโ โฆ ok then) โฆ I just cant โtrustโ this speakerโฆ not until I have more time with it and it behaves fine โฆ I will be GLAD to do a second update to report the good news, if that happens.

Original Review
I was going to write a more in detail review, comparing this speaker to various others I have but unfortunately things are not looking great. I am not 100% saying I am returning this already, but it looks like it may go in that direction.
I will list some Cons but .. .things are not all bad when it was working correctlyโฆ Hopefully I can not some things as I go.
Cons:
– Sound quality โ ok this is not all bad โฆ but I knew this would lack bass โฆ I get it but even with a V shaped EQ on top of the speaker (same I have set in the same app for ALL others I have) ..and even in this speakerโs third EQ setting โBass Boostโ there is a lack of bass in most genres, people would typically listen to. HOWEVER one of my use cases is late at night listening to say intrumental, Jazz, or Classical music. The lack of a big โThumpโ in the bass (which CAN be overdone in other speakers I have heard) โฆ wasnโt too bad and with those genres at lower volumes โฆ the sound quality wasnโt bad. Really Iโd never call it โmuddyโ but even bass boost (built in EQ) sounded like there was a lack of โaverage bassโ.
ALSO THIS IS NOT 360 sound. Sure you hear sounds from all sides but the two speakers are only facing one way (the exact opposite side of where the buttons are) โฆ that is the direction things sound โclearestโ โฆ the sound is different on any other side and with the lack of bass โฆ including the โbassโ radiators on the side as part of the โ360โ is laughable in itself.
– Voice pompt โ this wouldnโt be too bad if it wasnโt SO LOUD โฆ late at night it a bit loud compared to say where the volume is set โฆ โBLUETOOTH MODEโ โBLUETOOTH CONNECTEDโ โฆ again Iโd like just a beep or something like a ton but even the voice wouldnโt be that bad IF it was a โfew clicksโ lower in volume.
Unsure (Pro? Con?)
– Build quality โ I WILL SAY this doesnโt feel super cheap, but others like my Oontz Angle 3 Ultra, or any of my Tribit speakers, just feel better. I also have to say I have never had a JBL Flip or any other speakers with an โall overโ grill โฆ and I knew I was getting this so maybe versus other speakers, this โstyleโ makes it feel less solid โฆ I could get a JBL Flip and think โoh โฆ they โfeelโ the sameโ build quality wise.
————————-
My main issue โ I was thinking of MAYBE returning this, having my sights on a Tribit speaker I have not experienced yet, but with the other Tribit speakers I DO have, blowing me away overall, I have kept my eye on a sale for that one. Not even a week into owning this speaker, while all devices connect to the speaker, the speaker outputs ZERO audio from any COMFIRMED CONNECTED device in bluetooth mode.
I do admit PART (but just half at best) use-case is the microsd card slot and one reason I wanted this speaker. In addition to Rain and Ocean waves (โsound machine styleโ) I wanted to load a microsd card up with that sort of stuff and say maybe smooth jazz and sort of use it as a โcustomโ sound machine. Right now the microsd card slot function STILL outputs audio and it doesnโt sound bad โฆ but with no sound no matter what I do (including a speaker reset) working โฆ in under 7 days of having thisโฆ. I cant even trust this will last.
I do note that many of the negative reviews also mention this exact problem.
I can live with the sound quality being โmehโ at best for typical genres and this only being a good speaker in specific use-cases but now there is no audio for any bluetooth โฆ that is a deal breaker.
I just CANT recommend this speaker. While my Tribit speakers are my favorite, I will say I have an Oontz Angle 3 Ultra and sound wise it has the opposite problem (bass tends to โฆ not make things muddyโฆ but itโs bass โlingers a bit too longโ at times) โฆ I still LOVE and recommend that speaker.

Quick easy connection with phone. 1 speaker is good but pair two of these together for true wireless stereo with great sound.

I picked up this little speaker on an absolute whim, mainly because it’s 1/3rd of the price of what it’s so obviously copying. As it happens, I have a version 4 of the real McCoy, so I’ve been doing a side-by-side test with them this evening to see what’s what.
For the price, it’s pretty unbelievable. It’s (IMO) about 90% as good as the real deal. That’s 90% for 1/3rd of the cost. So does it sound as good? Here’s the thing. If I didn’t have a genuine article to compare against, I’d say yes – absolutely. It sounds amazing. But the real deal is just *this much* better – slightly better EQ, slightly better bass, but for what it is, I’m absolutely impressed. I wish it had slightly better bass, but otherwise, it’s a killer speaker for 1/3rd of the price. If I wasn’t doing a legit A/B comparison, I’d never know that it gets barely edged out. And keep in mind, that’s just this guy’s opinion.
Snag one – it’s well worth it, and you won’t cry if it gets damaged, lost, batter dies, etc.
