I did a listening comparison with this RCA interconnect, one from the World’s Best Cables and one from Emotiva. The Golden Gate sounded the best, giving the highs in my Philharmonic BMR Monitors (which have a RAAL ribbon tweeter) a noticeable “sparkle.” Unfortunately, Amazon sent an obviously used product when I had ordered a new one. I returned it. (The World’s Best Cables were a distant second at making the music clearer. I wouldn’t recommend the Emotivas.)

I ordered 4 cable types and this one was a 10 when the others were a 4. I couldn’t believe my ears! Only bad thing is the slopped connections are very hard to pull off the rca female connections on the unit. The sound is like a 3-D sound. Holographic sound!

Sometimes, a lot of times, claims by audiophiles are exaggerated or just untrue. Not so here.
I played my remastered CD version of Fairport Convention’s Unhalfbricking album. Side one, song one, Richard Thompson’s “Genesis Hall”, a song I’ve heard on all my many different systems over the past 40 years. First I played the song using standard, run of the mill RCA jacks that come with TV’s, etc., as part of the package. Then I switched out the average plugs for these Audioquest Golden Gate cables.
As noted, I’ve been listening to “Genesis Hall” for 40 years. With the new and admittedly expensive cables the music sounded better. I mean, it genuinely sounded BETTER! It wasn’t night and day, but there was a distinctly observable audio difference which improved the sound. To be entirely candid I was surprised. I did not really think the reviews promising better sound were true, but they are.
At $65 these are not inexpensive. But if you have the right system these cables are worth every penny. If I had known there would be such a noticeable difference I probably would have bought the next model up for around $100. If you can afford Audioquest’s products and have a quality audio system take my advice and spend the money. I am very pleased I did!

Buen cable,nada mas sacarlo de la caja se ve que es un cable de buena calidad.
Parecera una tonteria pero hasta la pintura de la clavijas le da un toque premium,cuando la vi me sorprendio,da la sensacion tanto en como la han aplicado y del tipo que es,de ser la de un coche.
Llevo mas de 1 mes con el y en cuanto a calidad de audio estoy muy contento,lo utilizo en un combo de dac topping d50s + amplificador jds labs atom,como no he probado otro cable,los aparatos tambien haran su funcion pero el resultado ha sido un sonido en general que puedes estar largas horas sin molestias,tiene una muy buena definicion y separacion de sonidos y no se solapan unos con otros.
Segun lei en un comentario de amazon.com el hombre decia que este cable le daba menos bass y mejor calidad de escena (soundstage),no lo puedo corroborar si es cierto,lo que si puedo decir es que actualmente poseo unos auriculares Audeze Lcd2-c que son unos auriculares que no tienen muchisimo bass,pero aun asi ahora tengo bass no excesivo pero tampoco peca de ser extremadamente nulo,para mi cumple.
Como en el equipo que habia adquirido de audio inverti algo de dinero en el,no queria comprar cualquier cable de 3 euros y la verdad que estoy contento con la compra.

I needed to replace my existing interconnects as these were used to replace $0.20 pre-amp jumper bars provided with my NAD C356BEE integrated. Ordered the Golden Gate 0.6M RCA from the Filtronique Amazon Marketplace store. Cable arrived as ordered within a couple of days, with excellent customer service from Filtronique. The Golden Gate RCA cable now links my NAD C546 CD player to the pre-amp section of the C356. Note that left and right inputs/outputs need to be with 3in of each other as these cables use a single jacket for both channels.
This is a beautifully constructed cable with a very high end feel. Connections were a breeze. Straight out of the box, the sound is very clear, crisp and defined, with an urgent sense of timing. Still burning in, but this combo sounds extremely dynamic, even when using the player’s USB mode as a source for playing 320kbps MP3s. Definitely satisfied so far. Looking forward to assessing after 100 or so hours using reference material!

Come da titolo si fa sul serio,questo cavo RCA presenta una qualità costruttiva eccellente.Il suono per adesso ho notato un apertura e ampiezza maggiore nella musica,forse effetto placebo ma qualcosa lo sentita rispetto i vecchi cavi che avevo. Mi raccomando rispettate le frecce che sono raffigurati nei spinotti,il cavo e bilanciato,e dal materiale direi che è pure schermato.

Testé sur un ensemble hifi < 1500€ et comparé avec un cable lambda.
Je n’ai pas senti de réelle amélioration de son malgré la très bonne finition du câble. La gaine extérieur est tressée puis se sépare en deux plus petits câble comme sur la photo. Le raccord est très bon aussi.
A 65€ les 60cm, je pense qu’il est possible de diviser le budget par 2 et avoir un câble qui correspond au budget de l’ensemble hifi destiné (entre 1000 et 1500€)

Quality RCA interconnect. Short run was perfect to connect my DAC to the Darkvoice headphone tube amp. Noticeably better sound quality and dynamic range. During tube rolling, baseline hum previously presernt in some tubes was no longer audible.

I have a tower, evergreen and now golden gate RCA 0,6m. I’m using this with a Cambridge DacMagic DAC connected to a Primare i21 amplifier. I listen with a klipsch RP-600M speaker connected with a Kimber KK-8PR speaker cable braided RFI-Braid-Technology to my amp.
If you know what to listen for in the music than it makes a difference to my ear if I would compare it to a Evergreen. With the Tower yes, with most of the songs this Goldengate has more soundstage, tighter deeper bass and vocals sound great too. Doing a blind test with the Evergreen I couldn’t tell the differnce. Some songs that I know very well, I can tell some difference.

I bought this cable for my Audioengine D1 DAC. This cable is well made and with metal RCA to RCA connecter. It has extra protect material followed the metal connecter. However, I believe 60cm cable will only work with the dest speakers, cuz it is shortest cable in Audioquest. So be careful guys.

I bought these interconnects to join my Marantz 5005 CD player to my Rogue Audio Sphinx amplifier. I had been using the interconnects that originally came with the CD player and was eager to see if cables really would make a difference that I could hear. The answer is a resounding (excuse the pun) yes! Right out of the box I heard an improvement in detail and imaging along with a new tight bass presentation. This is one of the best cost/benefit purchases that you can make to improve the performance of your system.
