People will always claim that there isn’t a difference in cables. Well I know now that there is a difference! I own a complete Martin Logan Motion Series 7.2 home theater setup so I didnt want to skimp on cables. I decided to give a test with this cable being hooked to one of my Martin Logan Dynamo 500 Subwoofers and then bought a cheap $20 cable from BB to connect the other. The difference was noticeable from the start. The cheap cable cause a loud hum and a popping sound while cutting on and off. The other sub connected with the AQ Irish Red Cable remained quiet regardless of operational changes. I would assume that with the added interference it was causing a degrade in SQ also. These cables are worth the money hands down. Even my wife who thinks I waste my money buying over prices accessories told me to change the cable out since it was annoying to her.

I am just shocked by the performance of this cable. I have a Martin Logan subwoofer that is connected wirelessly to a small transceiver box that is cabled into the ampโs subwoofer jack. I always used the a cheap old cable for that wired connection thinking that it would not matter. I always got rattle distortion on loud low end sounds. And then, I started to get mysterious pops and hum, sometimes even when the TV was off. I tried to shield the subwoofer cable with a neoprene sleeve. It worked okay if I placed it just right. But invariably it would get moved and the pop and hum were back. It did nothing for the rattle, which I assumed was just inevitable. BUT THIS CABLE FIXED IT ALL IMMEDIATE. Shocked. Just shocked. The Irish Red cable runs from the subwoofer transceiver box to the ampโs subwoofer jack. I used the grounding wires to attach to the back of the amp and I o my blue ray player. I am not going to bother seeing what it is like without them because it sounds perfect now. Watching the Mandalorian now and it is very loud with lots of low end sounds and music. Absolutely no distortion, rattle, hum, or pop. I had no idea a cable could make such a difference. The whole system sounds more cohesive. Just amazing.

I replaced an SVS subwoofer cable (which are superior to monster, in my experience) with this Audioquest Irish Setter cable and could immediately hear the difference in the clarity of the subwoofers response. This was particularly evident in music with a dominant bass guitar chords, or bass drum notes that previously exhibited low frequency distortion (rumble) at high volumes. I thought that silver plated cable was somewhat pointless for such a low frequency application, but I was mistaken. I recommend these cables and believe that the previous reviewer must have received a damaged cable.
My previous experience with Audioquest RCA cables demonstrated that a break-in period is required before the best results are obtained, so I can’t wait to hear how the subwoofer sounds after some time has passed. I will be ordering a 12 meter length of this cable for my second subwoofer that’s further away from my preamp, based on the exhibited improvement that I experienced with this shorter cable.

I use Audioquest cables for everything in my stereo system. Cables are just as important as all of the other components in your system. Interconnects, digital cables ( yes, these * do * make a difference ) power cables, you name it. I was accidentally using cables made by a different company which I won’t name ( hint: it rhymes with ‘schlonster’ ) for my subwoofer, and they were just plain awful. So, I upgraded to these. They really are great! Huge difference!

This thing is overpriced and absurdly cheap in quality. The diameter of the cable is so thin for its price point. Save yourself and look elsewhere. Audioquest only sells legit stuff when the price becomes very hard to grasp.

Absolutely excellent! I had an audible pulsing sound from my previous cable picking up interference from my WiFi router. This cable completely eliminated it, and gave me better sound quality to the woofer as well!

First, I do not have an “over the top” system. Martin Logan Motion 35xt “bookshelf” speakers. (On stands) Marantz 5012 AV and a Marantz 7025 2 channel amp. However I also have 2 subs…both Martin Logan, one is a Dynamo 400 and the other a Dynamo 600x. Every piece that I purchased was at a discount, after the “new and improved” version/upgrade model came out. Note: Both subs and the Marantz 7025 amp were factory “Reconditioned”. Over a years time, I have upgraded various “good” cables to Audioquest “Rocket series”. First the speaker cables… wow!!! after thatAfter, AudioQuest “Golden Gate” RCA cables between components. Another big wow!! Last the subwoofer(s) “Irish red” with yet another huge improvement… I recommend doing one component at a time, to allow yourself to “hear” the improvement in every component individually. Audioquest cables are Expensive, (tried other less expensive cables with little, or no improvements) but it’s a hobby, enjoy the journey!!! Now on to Power cords!!!!

Like the reviewers before me mentioned you will hear the audible difference immediately! After that enjoy the ride as the cable opens it’s throat and your sub or subs perform better than they ever did before. If you’re looking at sub cables around or up to this price point allow me to save you some bucks and recommend you buy this one. I’ve had 4 other “very good” sub cables prior to the Red’s and I can say with 100% certainty that the Reds out perform them all. These are here to stay.

Bel cavo, suona bene, ma per il prezzo mi sarei aspettato dei connettori con finiture migliori
